Free Agent pick ups.

1. FS Rahim Moore

2. WR. Torrey Smith

3. LG Clint Boling

4. RT Bryan Bulaga

5. CB Byron Maxwell

6. RB Roy Helu

7. TE Virgil Green (Cut Cumberland)

8. CB Davon House

Trades.

Jets jump in front of Cleveland and offer their higher 3rd rounder to Tampa for Mike Glennon. Jets cut Matt Simms.

Mo. WIlkerson

Jets will let Wilkerson play out his rookie deal, making 7 million this year. They will instead come back to the negotiation table during the season, giving them the opportunity to see Quinton Coples and IK in action while weighing their options. If negotiations stall then they can always franchise him next year.

Percy Harvin

The Jets try to restructure, but I dont think Harvin will restructure to a fair deal so they sign Torrey Smith and cut Harvin.

This leaves us with needs at ILB/OLB CB in the draft

Jets Draft picks.  Jets trade back in the first round with Philly for their 1st and 2nd this year

Rd.1 pick 20 (From Eagles) ILB Stephone Anthony, Clemson

Rd. 2 OLB Paul Dawson, TCU

Rd. 2 (From Eagles) RB Ameer Abdullah, Nebraska

Rd. 4. CB Senquez Golson, Ole’Miss

Rd. 5 FS Derron Smith, Fresno State

Rd. 6 (Trade up in the draft) WR Trey McBride, William and Mary.

So, we get a huge dose of speed, instincts and cover ability at the linebacker positions with Anthony and Dawson. I know people have been all over Dawson since the combine, but what I see on tape is a guy who plays faster than his 40 with football instincts on the field that cannot be measured. Ameer could compete for some playing time at RB and can be our KR on special teams. I like Golson because I think he could give Bowles some range, moving him from multiple CB spots to even FS at times. Derron Smith was solid FS at Fresno, and was arguably their best defender. WR Trey McBride will be to the Jets what Allen Hurns was to the Jaguars last year. A guy who flew under the radar but can produce immediately.

VJF , love ya mon, but if this happens you probably have a revolt in Jnation

Dawson ran a 4.9 and he is your OLB, Anthony isn't anything special

RB isn't a dire need and Golson is 5 9

Glennon is a Jag (just another guy)

the Fa pickups are fine, but I do not see Jets Signing all 3 (Maxwell Smith and Bulaga)

lol, probably. It wouldnt be as fun if this wasnt controversial i guess.

Dawson ran a 4.9 but we all know that he plays faster than that. Mike Mayock was on live TV, shocked as hell. The guy had a poor combine, but I dont see anything poor on the football field. There's an extent to what I take from the combine. Looking at him in game, I see a guy who can rush the passer, I seen him blow up running plays, I seen his athleticism, I seen him go out in coverage. His instincts, awareness, ability to slide off blocks and production is what im drafting, not his 40 time. This is a guy who had double digit tackles in every game except 4...and 2 of those 4 games he had 9 tackles. The guy is a freak of nature, and his 40 simply can't take that away. It was a downer, but its in no way a deal breaker.

Terrell Suggs had scary looking 40 time.  Remember Joe Haden? They were talking about this guy possibly falling out of the 1st round and being a potential bust because of his 40 time with him on a track in spandex, completely disregarding his tape. 5 years later he's a top 5 best CB in all of football. Reflecting back to his combine today, it seems like utter nonsense the amount of negative press he got based on his 40 time.

Anthony is an athletic ILB with range and run stopping ability. Its funny, because Dawson, as you know, is heavily criticized for running a 4.9, but Anthony running a 4.56 40, ranking in the top 10 in every "on-field" measurable at the combine while being named "top practice performer" by NFL Scouts at the senior bowl showing excellent side to side range and ability to cover is considered "nothing special". I hope you see my point here. Either way, the combine put Anthony on the map for me, so when I went to watch his tape what I instantly noticed was similar to Paul Dawson which was he is a playmaker. He's not as instinctual as Dawson, but he's a playmaker with good instincts and he closes in incredibly fast. One thing that I noticed with Bowles is that he likes to blitz his ILB, now you have two rangy ILB's in Anthony and Davis (that are not liabilities in coverage) to go along with a Will backer in Dawson and your Sam backer in Pace. That would be pretty impressive.

I think that the RB position is more of a need than you give it credit for. Ivory is a good runner, but Gailey is going to need guys who can catch the ball, create mismatches etc. Ivory can't do that. Ameer Abdullah is a beast. You draft him to compliment Helu and Ivory in the run game as well as use his ability as a kick returner to replace the freshly cut Percy Harvin on special teams.

Mike Glennon is not a Jag. Anyone who wants confirmation simply needs to closely look at his game. He's currently a top 16-20 QB imo right now and I believe he has the potential to be a top 10 QB in this league. I'll trade a 3rd rounder for a vet like Glennon.

Golson I have to admit was a little tricky. My favorite CB in this draft is Steven Nelson, but after reading Tinstar's thread on Golson I looked at him and I feel that he is a better player when the ball is in the air. When I watch Nelson, his tenacity is simply admirable,  you want this guy on your team. Not to mention that Oregon, where Nelson played is in the Pac 12 and the Pac 12 throws the ball more than any other conference so you really need those cover corners. But Golson even at 5'9 looks like he can help you out in a variety of ways, whether in nickel or dime, play high at safety potentially, if there's an injury you could even play him on the outside, maybe he even earns a job on the outside. Someone is about to pay Byron Maxwell MILLIONS of dollars, and he was a 6th round pick, and he's not short. Golson looks like he has that "plug and play" aspect to him. So I'd take a chance with a 4th rounder on a 5'9 CB that quite frankly was one of the top cover CB's in the country. That sounds like value to me.

Getting Smith, Maxwell and Bulaga is a stretch, I know. Just having a little fun though.

I think somebody posted something last week about Dawson supposedly being an entitled dick, late to meetings etc.

I read it when it came out. Dawson responded that he was hurt by that. Not sure if its true or not. A whole bunch of stuff comes out on players around this time.

I'm still waiting for that Dez Bryant tape lol.

IMO two things help him.  Burfict was a punk and a slug and has performed and the TCU guys just did not run well.  That might indicate that they just picked the wrong workouts leading up to the combine.

Thats a damn good point Dom. Burfict wasnt even drafted right? The Bengals pick him up and he's one of the best in the league.

With all that wheeling and dealing I don't see any pass rushers. I also prefer Spiller as a FA running back since he actually played and excelled under Gailey.  What is the fascination with Mike Glennon?   Not trading a 3rd rounder for him, sorry.    Also don't see one true impact player drafted.  At 20 DGB or Strong may still be on the board and if so we have to take one of them.  Torrey Smith is a nice addition but I would still want a true blue chipper at that position.  Abdullah would be nice to back up Spiller and Ivory in case Powell leaves but we could find a ufa or just bring back D. Richardson.   Other than that if we could pull that off in Free Agency I would be estatic.   The draft, not so much.

I could see how you may not see or think that both Anthony and Dawson are pass rushers, but my decision to draft these guys was based on their ability to run stop, not be a liability in coverage and to rush the passer. With our front line right now. I think Dawson's instincts and Anthony's playmaking ability would be more than adequate. Are they Justin Houston? Naw, but we can do alot of things with the talent that they provide. Pass rushing doesnt always have to come from one person, especially if you're having problems finding this individual.

I posed this question to myself a few days ago because I was really big on Vic Beasley just based on that first step. My question was: "Outside of pass rushing, what can I honestly say this kid does exceptionally well"? I honestly couldn't tell you. Im not calling him a bust, my point is people look at him and think of a "impact player drafted", Im looking for guys who have shown that they can do different things. If Vic Beasley doesnt work then we may have a Dion Jordon on our hands, however, if he does pass rush well, he may be a liability in the run game and in the pass game because if he's not rushing then what is he doing? No one knows if he can cover or assist in the run. Which makes the defense in a sense "one dimensional". If he's on the field, you pretty much know he's blitzing. With Dawson and Anthony, they're imo 3 down guys who can do a variety of things well, and will be able to rush given the attention that our front guys will garner. They could even open up things even more for our front guys giving more opportunity to guys like Richardson Coples and Wilkerson. If they're getting to the QB more often given our LB's ability then I say "mission accomplished".

As for Glennon, my fascination for him is like your fascination for DGB or Strong. You have your guys, I have mine. You wouldnt trade a 3rd rounder in an attempt to solidify an important position like I wouldnt draft DGB at 20. We may seem different, but we're not.

Torrey Smith is who he is. You would still like a blue-chipper (DGB or Strong right? lol) but we can't have everything. This is my version based on my approach to free agency and the needs remaining. I would like to have Devin Smith. He's my favorite WR coming out, but if you noticed he's not in my final mock. My favorite CB is Steven Nelson, but I have us taking Golson because I think he is a more versatile player at a position that is coveted by our HC, and that supersedes my personal feeling for a talent.

I think its safe to say that there's some separation between Ameer Abdullah's ability and just some random UFA fresh off the street. I dont want him backing up Spiller, because I believe that he could be our CJ Spiller type player. Again, I can't expect to sign every free agent either. Some of these positions need to be filled in the draft, and since RB's are deep this year I think it would be financially responsible to get that talent on second round money that could come in and produce on offense and special teams. Besides, every year I hear the same statement "we can just grab a UFA RB" like its that easy, yet we always end up with Bilal Powell lol. So, based on my experience watching this team as well as others, it doesnt seem that signing some random is as "nonchalant" as you make it sound.

With my explanation given, I will say that I respect your view. I dont like everyone's draft myself. I just like to express my reasoning behind decisions so at least when people inform me of their dislike/disagreement I can give them a more thorough reasoning behind the decision so there is at least an understanding behind it.

Thanks for the feed back.

I see you picked up torrey smith, but if the draft fell this way, that would be 2 very deep wide receiver drafts, back to back, that the jets didn't pull one really good receiver out of.

Thats a good point. And you know what? Thats John Idzik's fault. I think our situation last year is different. We had nothing last year and the only thing we did was sign Decker. Right now we have Decker, Harvin and the possibility to get Smith in FA. Yes we can cut Harvin, but our WR situation would be much more stable heading into the draft his year than it was last year. What wouldnt be stable (if free agency broke the way I have it) is our LB group. We basically have Demario Davis and thats it.

Also, we simply can't waste Eric Decker's contract like that. Getting Decker last year was the perfect opportunity to get a WR last year because by the time we expect big things from the rookie, Decker would be entering the latter half of his contract. Now, Decker would be on his final year which means that we basically had no legit guy opposite him for 3 years. Again, thats John Idzik's fault. Signing a guy like Torrey Smith and getting a guy like a Tre McBride in the late rounds would be my answer. I dont have to worry about the guy opposite Decker acclimating himself to the playbook and new team, but also to the world of professional football. If we expect this offense to work this year we have to give it a bit more than what we wanted to given that the Jets wet the bed last year in the draft.

Another reason why I went this way is that we still have Shaq Evans and Quincy Enunwa that is on this team. Getting Torrey Smith now means that we dont have to worry about Shaq, Quincy or Tre having fill in the starting roles. If we're in a spread then we're going to have some 4 and 5 wide receiver sets. We're also looking for depth, which is where you want these projects to be anyway. What im saying is that though I didnt like the outcome of John's approach, we still have guys that you want to see what they can bring. Signing Smith in FA and then drafting one or two high profile guys may force us to cut guys who could have produced for us but we no longer have the space to keep them.

The fact of the matter is that if we sign Torrey Smith then our #1 place of need would be our linebacker position, DB positions, RB position, then comes our WR position because we would be drafting for depth at this point.

It sucks to have to pass on Devin Smith, trust me. But at the same time, I'd rather have some stability for Chan Gailey and whomever the QB is. So I loaded up on offense via FA and loaded up on defense via the draft.

We're not trading down the titans draft mariota or trade him to philly. They'd be retarded not to

So, the Eagles are going to jump from 20 to 2. And how many picks/players will they give up to do that? Based on the point system, it would cost the Eagles their entire draft just to move up to 6, what would it cost to move to 2?

Derron Smith in the 5th? Why because he is 5-10 and 1/2?  He is probably a top 5 safety in the draft.

As a previous poster mentioned, moving Dawson over from  ILB and expect him to play outside when being that short and slow is a recipe for disaster.

You seem to be fascinated by short football players

Mariota is not falling to 6. I don't care about the stupid mock drafts the titans have 0 talent on their roster, an even worse qb situation than we do and no excitement in their fan base. They are not drafting Vic Beasley and going to war with Zach Mettenbergr.

Saying he's not falling to 6 and you not caring about stupid mock drafts doesnt make it true. The difference between me and you is that "I know" what I'm presenting is a mock, you're presenting your position as if its written in stone or something. Marcus Mariota could go #1 overall, no one is denying that. What you seem to be denying though is that he's not worth a top 10 pick in this draft to begin with. The only reason why he's in the conversation is because this draft is extremely thin at QB. If Mariota came out last year dude would certainly be a 2nd rounder, possibly even a 3rd.

As for the Titans, I can't say that they have a worst QB situation than the Jets when its Geno Smith that has been rated in the bottom 3 of the starting QB's every year he's been in the league. I dont know who the Titans is going to draft, it could be Vic Beasley, it could be Mariota, but for the sake of "my mock" I have us trading down with the eagles so they can have their golden boy.

Please, criticize my mock. I'd like to know what you like or dislike about my decision (or was the "stupid mock drafts" your criticism?). I'd rather pass on arguing about the Titans and what they're "definitely" going to do with their pick.

Okay I see your point of view.  Here is my rebuttal.  Regarding Glennon while he may be a little better than Smith, I still feel that Smith was rushed to start and now with two years under his belt and Chan Gailey's coaching can provide us with whatever Glennon can and is much more mobile (Glennon is a statue back there).   So no I don't want to trade a 3rd rounder for him.

Btw, I think it is pretty understandable to have a fascination as you call it, with two of the most talented receivers in this draft because I understand how having a great receiver can help qb and an offense in general.  I do like Abdullah and have no problem with the pick if he is the best player on the board at that time; my point is every year there are running backs no one ever heard of who come in and excel, maybe not always uda but late round picks.

Again I appreciate the effort you put in; I just want to see the Jets come out of FA and Draft with a few impact players, preferably on offense but also on defense (speed off the edge; ball hawks in the secondary etc. something we currently don't possess) and improve the overall team speed, especially on defense. Of course seek to strengthen the OL.  That would be my thinking and would determine what players I would be going after. Obviously we can't feel every need in one off-season but that is how I would approach this off-season.

not a huge fan of torrey smith, tbh. I think the jets are sitting pretty at the top of the 2nd round to steal a quality receiver in a deep draft,is all

I also think that glennon for a 3rd wouldn't be a bad deal if the jets could fix their protection issues, which should be mandatory this season

Another issue with Phil Dawson is that he is a fidget. He is like 6'0" 235.  Sort of Maybin sized.  The Jets have been running huge guys at OLB.  The Cards the same. Okafor is 6'5" 260,  Shaughnessy is like 285. Acho 6'3" 257, Abraham also listed at 6'4" 255, but I think he played heavier.  I do not see any way on God's green earth Bowles would look to go into the season with a slow undersized LB setting the edge.  That would be a pretty big reach.  I think we get excited seeing LBs that can run and forget that these 270-280 pound LBs provide a lot more than we think. If this is the way the offseason panned out I would expect Pace and Babin to get the bulk of the snaps.  Hopefully IK can unseat Babin, but I would not go into camp expecting it. I guess you expect this guy to take Harris' spot. He is more the size of Minter, Sims and Foote. Not a fan of the LB group with this squad.  I guess you are expecting a ton of nickel and dime with Allen at "LB"

I think the Jets will be okay. I felt that they would be okay with Idzik, but that was base more on "hope" given that I never heard of the guy. This go'round I feel that having a guy like bowles matched up with a guy who's "been there, done that" in Chan Gailey along with a GM with a scouting background will have us hitting double digit wins in a few years. Though, I must say that the feeling is predicated on trading for Mike Glennon! lol.

Speaking of him, I dont mind having a statue for a QB. The NFL is IN LOVE with these dual threat, option type QB's, yet the QB's reaching Superbowls are mostly the pocket passers. Just go back the past 10 SB's. The moble QB's that have made it were Russell Wilson & Colin Kaepernick. Guys like Ben Roethilsberger, Aaron Rodgers, and Donovan McNabb can scramble, but are really "pass first guys. However, for the sake fairness I'll include them given that they are mobile QB's. The rest of that list is as follows:

1. Eli Manning

2. Drew Brees

3. Tom Brady

4. Joe Flacco

5. Peyton Manning

6. Kurt Warner

History has supported that a QB "made of stone" can have incredible success in this league if he's good at what he does. The most impressive thing about Glennon to me is based on the fact that he can't run, which is that his eyes are always looking down field in order to make a play and he is always comfortable in the pocket. And this is a guy with one of the worst offensive lines as far as talent in the league as well as the most penalized line in the league. Also, he's not a Stone QB, the guy can move within to pocket to buy himself time, he's just not a scrambler. Guys like Dan Marino could do nothing if there was any pressure whatsoever, thats not the case with Glennon. People are sleeping on Mike Glennon big time. Certain parts of his game can for sure go under the "it" factor. You can't teach a guy to feel comfortable around all that chaos. You either got it or you dont. Mike Glennon has that "it" factor. There's much more to him but I dont want to hijack my own thread with all that.

You know what I say? I say you should put together your version of a mock. Show everyone how you would approach FA and the draft. This is my favorite time of the year, as you may have noticed already.

not a huge fan of torrey smith, tbh. I think the jets are sitting pretty at the top of the 2nd round to steal a quality receiver in a deep draft,is all

I also think that glennon for a 3rd wouldn't be a bad deal if the jets could fix their protection issues, which should be mandatory this season

Im not a huge fan of Torrey either, but I am a fan. The reason why I would make the deal is because on a professional level I pretty much know what I'm getting. I have no idea what I'm getting from a rookie outside of potential. The Jets have 10's of millions of dollars that the must spend. There's no reason to put a rookie in a position to produce right away when we can sign a veteran in FA that already has a professional resume.

The draft is important, but so is FA and at this particular moment I would prefer to get some certainty from that position while we still have this overall solid defense. Last year was the year to get a WR and see if he could produce immediately because cap situations required it. Thats simply not the case now, and if I have the option of leaning on a veteran in his prime years who understands the game already or a rookie fresh from the university's dormitory, I'm going the Vet route...unless there is a "can't miss" type player in the draft available to us...and I dont see that.

I'll say this though. If I had to decide on either signing Torrey Smith, or trading for Glennon and drafting a WR I'd be going the latter. Mike Glennon is a beast waiting to get in a system that actually wants him. I've never seen an organization try their best to sabotage their own talent for the sake of brining in a guy like "Josh McCown". Just utterly ridiculous.

My hang up with this mock is the trade with Philly.  IF we were to drop from #6 to #20, I would want more compensation than just their 2nd round pick.  The whole point in trading with them would be to get a starting caliber QB in Nick Foles.  To make that trade without Foles, and to then have to still trade away a pick to get Glennon is a double-whammy.

The point of trading down is to "kill two birds with one stone,"  not, "kill one bird with three stones".

There is more compensation to the trade, as in draft picks the following year given that Im not as interested in Foles as I am Glennon. I really didnt think that I had to point that out given that the overall point was the players mocked.

Okay. To start, im not sure if we'll be able to sign Wilkerson, Snacks, Spiller, Bulaga and McCourty, but for the sake of your mock if we were able to, that would be beast for real. I think Stevie Johnson would be a nice pick up. Now on to your picks.

1.Mariota:  He's a 2nd round quality QB. I haven't seen him look like an NFL type QB, and I simply cannot go by his athleticism and feel that picking him at #6 is warranted. Picking him #5 in the 2nd round, I'd say pull the trigger. But @ #6 that player better be a starter, and if Mariota is starting for the Jets we will have a major problem. He'll probably do well with another club like the Eagles, but then again I could be wrong. There is alot of pre snap reads if you put him in a spread offense. Maybe he's intelligent enough to make the move and be successful. I'd like to know what makes you confident enough to pull the trigger at 6.

2. Devin Funchess: I have to say I haven't looked much into so I can't really comment on him. What I do know of him is that he's a big athletic guy, he isn't as fast as I thought he would be but what I can say is that from highlights that I've seen of him he does look like a match up problem. I was surprised that he was only listed at 6'4. He looks taller.

2b. Phillip Dorsett: Fast guy, can take the top off a defense. Thats all I know about him. I'd feel a bit more confident with Devin Smith's game at this spot. My statement may seem a bit contradictive, but Smith comes off to me as being more than just a track star. If you were taking Dorsett in the 3rd I could sponser this, I just think there would be better WR's on the board when we pick at the 2nd round.

3. Stephone Anthony: If we were to get him in the 3rd round then I totally jumped the gun because I got us taking him in the first after a trade down with the Eagles. Nonetheless, great pick. He's a day one starter in my book and will help with penetration up the gut and isn't a liability in coverage like David Harris.

4. Byron Jones: His broad jump was scary. I would support a 4th on him.

5. Chaz Green: Don't know anything about him. Cant comment.

Overall, this isn't a bad draft. I am a little worried that we would be going into the season with a 2nd round WR being our starter because we didnt take care of the position in FA (if we cut harvin). If that WR doesnt produce immediately we would look like fools putting a WR in a position like than right after cutting Harvin. I think that if we cut Harvin we HAVE TO get a WR in FA. Its imperative. As for Mariota, it is what it is with him. He's hyped and its not his fault, but best believe this guy isn't worth a #6 pick. That's not knocking his potential, its knocking his NFL readiness.

IMO you are expecting too much in FA.  That is a bunch of money, particularly in the secondary.  The difference in salary between Maxwell and Cromartie should be as much as $5M per.  You are adding 2 top level CBs in FA and McCourty?  Then drafting one?  Plus signing Jarrett back?  I know they have a bunch of money, but I don't think they could afford to do everything you are planning and even if they could, other teams are going to be signing guys.  The Jets don't get everyone.  Bulaga is not going to come cheap and he is a tackle, not a G.  I would expect him to push Breno.  Did you plan to move him to G?

Remember I have us signing Stevie Johnson to start opposite Decker.   Odds are looking more and more that we will cutting Harvin. I am not hyped on Mariota either but if he is there, either we trade the pick or take him and let Chan work his magic on him; I don't see us passing on him.  I also don't think he will beat out Geno so we really get no value from him the first year which sucks. The hope is he will develop quickly and can challenge and win the job the following season or worst case, Geno completely sh*ts the bed, he becomes the starter late in the season.   The best case is Geno responds well to Chan, Mariota also looks good and now have two young qbs on the come up and can trade one for decent pick the next year or two.

Devin Funchess is something of a mystery and truthfully I might be more inclined to go with Breshard Perriman who is almost as big, faster and bit more polished.  I think Funchess will do well because he plays faster than his timed speed and truly is a beast physically.   He started out like gang busters then kinda fell of.  I know he played with a leg injury most of the year and that might have also effected is slow 40 time.

Dorsett, is like Harvin Lite; a true speedster with great quickness and would create match up problems all over the field.  He is just a bit undersized otherwise he would have been a sure 1st rounder.

I could see us going for one of those types; either the speedster to stretch the field or the "big" receiver who can go get the ball and be a real threat in the red zone.

You are probably correct but thats why it's a mock, right?  if I could get two of Cromartie, Culliver or Maxwell or even Jackson, I would be happy.  I don't think Cro will cost that much and neither should Spiller.   We also need to go hard after McCourty; this team really needs secondary help.   You are right I meant to list Bulaga as a T, Breno sucked last year and we have a few decent Guard prospects in Dozier and Aboushi. Alot of this depends on how contracts are structured.   I would like to bring Jack back but if he signs elsewhere that is even more reason to bring in McCourty.  Brian Hoyer should also come pretty cheap as the vet back up to Geno (Mariota will not be starting next year).

The reason I draft a CB, is 1. at that spot he is probably the best value, and 2. Cro will probably be gone after 1 year we still need corner who can develop and be ready to take over the following year.

With any other position I would totally agree, but on a need basis I think you have to consider MIlliner and McDougle.  You sign those FAs because you can't count on them, but they are wild cards, much like mid-round draft picks.  They may be long term solutions, they may be done or they may be something in between.  That makes a bunch of bodies at CB.  If everybody is healthy you have 2 FAs, a draft pick, Milliner, McDougle, Walls, Williams and whoever else from 2014.  Signing McCourty would actually make me feel secure with less CBs because he is actually a cover guy and can step in a pinch.  I don't have anything specific against the pick if you think it is value.

It is all about the competition and so far Milliner has to prove he can stay on field.  I lik McDougle think he would upgrade the talent and beat out Walls.  Bottomline is I would be okay with McCourty and at least ONE cornerback in FA.  Cro would probably be the cheapest; obviously the best would be Revis but I don't even have him on my radar, Maxwell would be next....   If we came away with Cro and McCourty along with S. Johnson, Spiller, Brooks Reed and perhaps a 2nd tier OL if not Bulaga, I would say we did pretty decent, not great but pretty decent.  Change out Cro for Maxwell, and I be bouncing off the walls.

Stevie Johnson as your #2? I guess. I look at him as more of a depth signing. He hasn't played all 16 games or averaged 13 yards per catch since 2012. Also, from what I hear on Breshard Perriman, he has a very limited route tree and his hands are even more suspect than Funchess. Breshard Perriman has the measurables, but word on the street is that he's a work in progress as well.

Dorsett may be a Harvin lite, but that would be from a WR point of view. You can't line Dorsett up at the RB position like you could do harvin. Any comparison of the two will be restricted to the WR position which is only a portion of what Harvin can provide you.

Truthfully that remains to be seen but be that as it may, that is why we have Spiller.  Yes I think Stevie Johnson can be solid receiver along with Decker.  He is not the long term solution but that is why we are drafting a receiver to ultimately replace him. Plus we have Shaq Evans, Enunwa and Owusa who will be fighting it out for the last spots.  I personally hold hope that Evans will emerge from that group.

I love this draft except I take in the second Hau'oli Kikaha from Washington, and I think the Stephone Anthony kid IS SPECIAL just watch his tape he is very fluid and moves like his hair is on fire.  Reads well, get fooled at times on misdirection, but is a beast
