KRL
I shouldn't post this because it will cause our OAK troll to chime in but Branch could be someone to look at for S. He's been hurt the past two years but before that he was productive: http://www.nfl.com/player/tyvonbranch/1681/profile http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000474424/article/oakland-raiders-to-release-tyvon-branch The defensive mind of Jack Del Rio doesn't envision Tyvon Branch in Oakland's future. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Thursday evening the Raiders will release the safety, per a source informed of the situation. A fourth-round selection of the Raiders in 2008, Branch struggled with injuries in the last two seasons, appearing in just five games and tallying 27 tackles over that span. Despite playing sparingly, Branch will have a market. The safety recorded at least 74 tackles and one interception in each season from 2010 through 2012. When healthy, the 28-year-old offers a potential that will pique the interest of others.
DaBallhawk
We have no need/space for an injury prone box safety.
Sperm Edwards
We have no need/space for an injury prone box safety. I'd tend to agree. With our line (or DL plus Coples, however he'll be classified), Pace situationally on & off the field, Davis, Pryor, and a LBer-esque FS in Allen, an injury-prone box safety who may still command a starter's contract, and probably doesn't/wouldn't play on specials to boot, should hardly be on our shopping list. I think we'll see the Raiders in the playoffs in the next few years.

A prove it deal to have him mentor and be a safety valve behind Pryor wouldnt be bad at all.

So I put all their cuts that are coming in one thread , so you can see if you want any player. 1. Tyvon Branch will be designated a post June cut 6.5 million cap savings 2.Qb Matt Schaub 5.5 million cap savings 3 De Lamaar Woodley 5,187,000 cap savings 4. DT Antonio Smith 4 million cap savings 5 .Lb Nick Roach 2,128,750 ( probably retires concussions) 6. RB Maurice Jones Drew 2,500,000 ( might stay till camp because of relationship with Delrio). 7. s Usama Young 1,100,000 cap savings=. 26, 915,750 added to their current cap space. Btw only Tyvon Branch and Nick Roach have dead money attached to them. The rest of the players listed has zero dead money if cut.

They just need someone to want that 4th pick, I thought the Browns or St Louis was going to make a move for Marriotta. At ten they could still get a premium player. They are my favorites to land both Revis and Suh if they break free. And they actually have a coach for the first time since Gruden.
