DaBallhawk
http://www.nj.com/rutgersfootball/index.ssf/2015/03/ny_native_devin_mccourty_open_to_possible_homecomi.html "I would be lying if I said that it wouldn't be cool being back home," McCourty said in a phone interview with NJ Advance Media. A lot of this right now is obviously him trying to drum up interest and keep his market value up as high as possible but I think that as long as we offer a little more money than the Pats do he'd seriously consider joining us. Imagine getting him AND Revis...
drdetroit
Of course he is. We're going to offer way more $ than the pats who will be focused on resigning Revis.
AFJF
I don't think I've ever heard a free agent publicly name a place he would not like to go. It's all posturing to max out offers.
Maxman
Revis and McCourty. Then we are just a Joe Montana away.
DaBallhawk
Revis and McCourty. Then we are just a Joe Montana away. You'd have to turn the sh*t out of that clock back for Montana to help us win games this year.

prime21
MCourtney YES. Revis NO Everyone is so big on getting Revis back. He is the best but Lets get Maxwell and Culliver for less money and younger legs. Lets build our own LOB with McCourtney, Maxwell, Culliver and Pryor working the box. Patriot Killa
I would love to have McCourty. I have a feeling with all the cap space teams have... this should be a wild off season in which I hope we come out with the brute of the players we wanted. a bidding war on almost every top tier player is considerable at this point. March 10th CAN NOT get here quick enough. It feels like Christmas.

PFSIKH
Money talks, I'm iffy on guys leaving that system. This. His best season was a contract year that coincided with Revis, Browner and a pretty good front seven playing in front of him.
Jetster
This. His best season was a contract year that coincided with Revis, Browner and a pretty good front seven playing in front of him. I watch a lot of Pats games because I live up here, McCourty is a ball magnet, exactly what we need. He's in the right place ALOT!
Sully28
This. His best season was a contract year that coincided with Revis, Browner and a pretty good front seven playing in front of him. He definitely benefitted from Revis and Browner, but he was no slouch before their arrival. McCourty has been a great safety for a couple years now. Plus, I don't think our secondary will be all that weak by the time the 2015-2016 season kicks off
Sully28
What's the consensus on Antonio Allen? Is he no more than a backup? Pretty sure Bowles played a lot of fronts with 3 safeties. I don't think he's a starting safety, but if we pull off McCourty, our safety position will be almost as strong and deep as our DLine. Jarrett and Allen are great backup safeties, Allen has great man coverage skills for a safety, he should be used on TEs instead of WRs.

Wilkshake69
Given that we are obligated to spend a killing this offseason, FS is not a position that I would be upset overpaying a little bit for given that there are about a handful of FS that can legitimately cover to the level required in the NFL these days...McCourty can legitimately cover. He's in the right place ALOT! 2014 = 2 INTS - 9 Passes Defensed and 1 Forced Fumble. Some Ballhawk. I call him the "Matador" Mcourty is soft and avoids contact. Overrated and the Pats did not lock him up with a 2nd contract like that did with Gronk and other stud players on the team.
