DaBallhawk
I'd expect the Jets to be among the teams to reach out to Trent Cole now that he's a free agent. His market won't take long to form — Jason La Canfora (@JasonLaCanfora) March 4, 2015 Side note: Bowles was on Philly's defensive staff in '12 so there are some ties. Not sure I'd want him as a starter at this point. Actually, no. More in a Babin type role.
KRL
Looking at his stats he's been extremely durable and has remained productive: http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/8560/trent-cole I wouldn't have a problem bringing him in and cutting Pace or Babin
HOZ THE JET
He's a 4-3 hands in the ground DE, I doubt he can be a outside linebacker or less Bowles is going to run a hybrid
DaBallhawk
The Eagles run a 3-4 defense so he's gotten his feet wet already. Plus Bowles ran a hybrid defense in Arizona. Actually more of a 4-3 defense. Another guy we might be interested in is Cary Williams who the Eagles have released a couple days ago. Bowles was a DB coach over there and worked with Cary during his stint so who knows. As a #2 corner I think he'd be a decent addition.
Jetster
Nice to know that our coaches have these connections. Free agents want their money but if it comes down to choice they prefer places with some familiarity. That's why Spiller or Stevie Johnson (Gailey? Not sure if Chan coached Stevie?) Bowles knows a lot of Eagles (Cary, Cole ect.) but he also knows a lot of Cards, (we signed Talley). Then you have the DC from Miami, so there is that connection too. Of course you also have that Revis did WANT to come back to the Jets, McCourty is FROM New Jersey. Along with money, these things matter to free agents.
