Tinstar
If Mariota is there - whether he helps THIS year or not - is the choice. A potential franchise QB is BETTER than ANY player at ANY OTHER POSITION. No, he probably won't help this year, but if he develops into a top flight starter the Jets come out on top and can now THINK about taking NE's place atop the AFC East. Not until. I agree. Will Jet fans and the Media let him sit and develop without labeling him a "Bust" . This kid needs a full year on the bench and 3 year in the same system before turning into what we all want. Will Woody be patient enough to allow Bowles and Mac to get their program installed. The whole thing calls for patience.
peebag
There's nothing borderline about it. Coples is ******* terrible. No he's not. Not sure why anyone says this.
Savage69
No he's not. Not sure why anyone says this. Remember when Edwards converted Ellis to a DT and had him gain weight?? That didn't work out too well just like Coples really isn't a LB'er.. Coples has talent hopefully Bowles puts him in the best place to use it.. Tinstar
In the 34 defense, Coples is playing where he should. At least on the Jets he is. What some people can't seem to understand is Coples at OLBer in our defense is unblockable if place in one on one situations. No TE or RB can block him by themselves which means he must be doubled by the OT. That leaves Mo and Rich in one on one, yet another problem. Does anyone remember the 2 plays where Coples almost decapitates the RB. One when he injured himself and the other which got him penalized ? In the 43, this kid should be a young Justin Tuck. afosomf
Yahoo's Charles Robinson reports NFL teams have been informed Alabama WR Amari Cooper ran a forty time in the range of 4.35 to 4.38 at last month's NFL Scouting Combine. Robinson reports video review of Cooper and West Virginia WR Kevin White's forty-yard dashes revealed a "dead heat." White's time is more impressive because he is taller and heavier, but the report confirms Cooper is a legitimate sub-4.4 speed burner. Cooper's "official" forty time was reported at 4.42. Source: Charles Robinson on Twitter yep savage said this at combine, he timed coop at 4.35 and simulcasr confirmed it, the scary thing is that Coop has run 4.3 in practice

Had 6.5 sacks last season and was good against the run. We are crowded on the defensive line he's playing Olb for us next season.
