prime21
Rex is unique meaning "what a ******* clown". Geno is better at this point means "see ya Geno" @MMehtaNYDN: Who's better: Marcus Mariota or Geno Smith? Woody Johnson: "Geno's probably way ahead of him at this point, believe it or not" #nyj @MMehtaNYDN: Woody Johnson on Rex Ryan remaining in the AFC East: "They're going to have a lot of fun up in Buffalo. Rex is a unique person." #nyj
T0mShane
Love the Mariota comment. Old Woody would have fellated Mariota just to look like he knows football.

Of freakin course Geno is way ahead of Mariota - he has played two years in the NFL - while Marcus has yet to take a snap. Mariota, however, will be MILES above Smith in two years time. Mariota will be looking at the Pro Bowl in his third season while Geno will be in the toilet bowl after failing to beat out Ryan Fitzpatrick. John Idzik showed his true lack of judging talent in most of his draft picks. I totally disagree with ANYONE, including those so called 'experts' at NFL Network who say the Jets will pass on Mariota if there at number six. They will (should) run to the podium to take him. How is that lack of intelligence when you just agreed with him??? Mariota is coming in just like Geno did; with zero experience under center; not just the fact he hasn't taken an NFL snap. That is just as relevant if not more so, as Geno having a couple of years on him. No one asked him if he felt Mariota would be better in a couple of years and all likelihood they will take if he is there. Doesn't change the fact that he will not be ready and will sit (like Geno should have) his first year.

I'm cool if we pick him . But to predict pro bowl level by year 3 seems Like stretch considering the guy is coming out the spread and has a long way to go just learning the basics of being QB much less a NFL QB. I won't pretend to know what he will become . He could very we'll be the thing you say . But he isn't the kinda Prospect I could predict those things for .
