jetscrazey
He's a physical specimen but we may have the next Ricky Williams or Josh Gordon here. May fall out of the top 10 now. They need to just stop testing the players for marijuana already.

Gas2No99
He falls to Top 20 where he'll be a steal. The combine already cooled some teams off him after they saw his lack of girth/weight which may not initially hold up against a NFL OLine every down for 16 games,no? The Troll
This is actually great news. If the tea leaves say Gregory could fall to the second round, the Jets can draft whoever the hell they want at 6 and still get a top ten OLB talent in the second. win4ever
Great, drop to the second. I doubt he drops that far because of weed, it's his lack of motivation to not smoke when he was going for his biggest job interview at the combine that should be concerning. The combine was a difference of millions if you did great or if you did bad, so to show that he'd rather smoke it up before it, shows a lack of discipline, so I'm guessing he's dropping now for sure. I don't think he makes it to the second though, too many teams need pass rushers. The furthest he'll drop is early 20s, but I think some team will take a shot on him earlier most likely. However, this does make it interesting if we trade back, and know that he might still be there.

This ^ If you cant stop smoking weed (I'm assuming it's weed) weeks before securing a top 10 pick and millions of dollars, you probably don't make the best decisions. Regardless of where you stand on making weed legal, it just speaks to terrible decision making.
DaBallhawk
Any GM dumb enough to pass on him based on this should be slapped across the face and have his job/title stripped from him.

No matter your personal opinion on legalization it is still illegal in the league. If he tests positive in the NFL he gets suspended and people question the GM on not looking at the red flags that were there right before the draft. Why risk it if there's comparable talent? Yeah, they said the same about Warren Sapp. Somebody who tested dozen of times positive for weed, cocaine, whatever. I don't know Gregory. The teams do, they've talked to him. If that's the guy you want, you draft him. You don't back off now because oft his BS story that should not even have been an issue 100 years ago yet it somehow still is. And personally I've only had good experiences with people that smoke weed, they are usually good people, they're less likely to committ other crimes, beat women, be thugs, be addicted to alcohol and all that stuff. I understand that you probably don't see it that way, but I don't agree with it. I don't think it's an issue, I don't think it'll be an issue going forward. Not that it really matters, but I'm actually pro-legalization. I personally just see it as terrible decision making by someone who is in the most important few months of his life. And come on, how many players with "off the field issues" turn into Warren Sapp's as opposed to Ryan Leaf's? And that story about it being built up in his system is a bunch of crap, with as much as he works out and his low body fat he definitely smoked in the weeks leading up to the draft. DaBallhawk
Where's it say it was weed? It could be PED, couldn't it? He tested positive for marijuana, that's what the NFL tested for at the combine. Anyway, listening to his side of it, it does worry me a bit. I mean there's smoking weed every once in a while which I'd assume a lot of rookies/NFL players do, and then there's being totally addicted to it. If you can't control that habit 100% it's an issue. Just health wise, lifestyle wise, I'm not even considering the NFL. That's on top of it. If you wake up and the first thing you have to do is to smoke weed then it's an issue, you need help. And from what he said in that interview, that's where he was at one point. He claims it's gotten better now but honestly, what else would he say. This failed test would suggest otherwise. So this actually does worry me a bit with Gregory. I'm not comparing him to Justin Blackmon just yet, but it's not a non-issue for me either because it really sounds like he has no control over it, that he needs help. DaBallhawk
Well, that was quite the 180 in hyperbole. One has nothing to do with the other. We don't know if it's an addiction with him. Failing a drug test and having smoked pot months ago doesn't mean anything. I'd assume most players have done that. That doesn't mean they're addicted to it. Now it's being reported that he was addicted to weed years ago. He claims he's not anymore. If he still is, it's an issue. If he can control it, it's not an issue. Pretty simple... Obrien2Toon
He's starting to remind me of the Barr kid out of ucla from last year. From lock top 5 pick, everyone picking him apart and he falls.
