It's the Greasers (town) vs. the Socials (mafia).

I can adjust the game to any size but 12 would be ideal.  Pretty basic game. Town vs. Mafia with some roles.

I think I read this book but I remember nothing about it except the word "gold" and I don't know why that comes to mind.

Are they gold miners?

Stay gold pony boy, stay gold.

Trying to figure out if your Pony boy or Johnny.  80 is good candidate for Pony Boy too.

But you're wrong.  My character is the guy who drives that crying black girl home.  He wasn't the source of her crying but she tells her family/friends it was him, and they beat him to bloody pulp.  Definitely me.  Black girls are my weakness.

Damn....how did I remember all that?  I read that book in 7th grade.

For those that dont know the source material...it truly doesnt matter at all.  Its actually a perfect town vs. mafia set up.  Good guys vs. bad guys.

Essentially, the story is about a clash on the opposite sides of the tracks.  A bunch of prepy rich kids (socials) vs. a bunch of poor rednecks (greasers).  In self dense, one of the greasers (Johnny) kill a social and has to go on the run since the cops are looking for him, he takes Pony Boy with him.  They find Dallas Winter, the gnarliest of all the greasers and he helps them hide out.  While hiding out, the 2 save a bunch kids from a burning school.  Johnny gets caught in the school and suffers life threatening burns.

While this is all happening, the rest of the crew is preparing for a full on rumble between the 2 factions.

Pretty sure it's on the Scholastic suggested reading list for that age group. Explains you more actually.

Pretty sure you're wrong.  Accelerated readers rates the reading level at 4.7 (grade 4).  Typically its found in Middle School classrooms.

Scholastic gives it a 5.1 (5th grade) reading level:  http://www.scholastic.com/teachers/book/outsiders#cart/cleanup

What?  You must be a lot younger than me.  Everybody had to watch, "The Outsiders" and "Rumble fish"   OMG.

I grew up in Arizona. You know, the state that consistently ranks between 48 and 50 in school performance.
