Patriots owner Robert Kraft took the stand Tuesday in the murder trial of Aaron Hernandez, recalling that the former star tight end told him he was not involved in the death of Odin Lloyd.

Hernandez, 25, is charged with killing Lloyd on June 17, 2013. Kraft was called to testify by the prosecution.

Kraft testified that he spoke with Hernandez on June 19, seven days before the former player's arrest, saying that he wanted to know if Hernandez "was involved" in Lloyd's murder.

"He said he was not involved, that he was innocent and that he hoped that the time of the murder incident came out because, I believe, he said he was in a club," Kraft said after being sworn in at the Fall River Justice Center.

After their conversation, which took place near a weight room at the Patriots' facility, Kraft testified that Hernandez "hugged and kissed me and thanked me for my concern."

"I knew that an incident had transpired, and I wanted to know whether he was involved," Kraft said. "I considered him part of our extended family, and I wanted to get him help."

After being sworn in, Kraft said he runs a business in packaging and paper and private equity, and has two sports teams: the New England Revolution and New England Patriots.

Kraft: "Yes your honor I did put millions of dollars into a serial killer's hands even though players

in my own locker room had serious concerns about his activities.  Is there a problem with that?"

"No sir Mr Kraft" replies the judge. "I am honored to be in the presence of such a great American as you sir" as he shoves a envelope in his back pocket.

Look dude, I get that you are dating this young chick. But a 73-year-old wearing sneakers with a suit does not look hip and cool. He looks like he forgot what he was getting dressed for in the middle of the process.

He looks pissed that Goodell is there with a "Hello" hug.

I'm an America citizen who is not a billionaire. I do whatever the **** I want all the ******* time. You don't need to be obscenely wealthy to do that.

Being rich doesn't get you a pass from people commenting on you looking like a fool.

never suggested it did. and if you work for a living, unless you own your own company, and maybe you do and even then you answer to your customers unless you're so rich to not care, you answer to somebody. kraft could decide to literally do nothing ever again and be no worse off for it.

the big difference is if everyone in the world thinks he is a fool or dresses like one, it has zero impact on him. i wear sneakers to work i get "the talk" from HR.
