JETS' DRAFT CLASSES DISAPPEARING

After former first-round pick Kyle Wilson signed with the Saints today, the Jets have no players remaining from their 2008 to 2010 drafts. Of the 13 players picked in that time period, only one, Matt Slauson, is a full-time starter in the league.

That is as sad as it can get for building a team

I never liked letting Slauson go. One of the best "value" picks they've made in years.

What do you expect from a pair of GM's - Tannenbaum and Idzik - who were number crunchers who somehow convinced Woody that selecting personnel was something they could do. It proved to be something they could NOT, and Tanny even managed to screw up the cap situation very badly.

Rex said at the time that his brother wanted to draft him in Cleveland, and Kyle should know the Ryan defense by now so why not take a chance if you're the Saints, it will be more interesting if he is still on the team after final cuts but I wish him luck

Think Miami will let trader Mike in the draft room?

And that, ladies and gents, is why we've sucked these last few years. It's impossible to be competitive when you're drafting that poorly.

And there are actually people on this board who ******* miss Tannenbaum. Jesus. That is horrifying.

The glossed-over part of what's sad is that we only drafted 13 players. Used or traded away 1 pick for Favre, 2 picks for Jenkins, 2 picks for Keller, 2 picks for Sanchez, 3 picks for Greene, 2 picks for Braylon, 2 picks for Sheppard, 1 pick for Holmes, 1 pick for Cromartie, 1 pick for Bobby Hamilton, 2 picks for McKnight...

I forget but didn't some player personnel people move on prior to 2009 draft?

Probably the most disappointing Jets draft pick of the modern era (besides Vern). Shame. I seem to remember him briefly turning it on for a little bit during the 2011 season, capped off by a tremendous interception of Philip Rivers. All down hill from there.

I don't know, Dwayne Robertson was pretty awful too.
