If the thought process is to stop a thread with any potential of becoming 'offensive' why even have a message board? Conversations evolve, they are an organism. They can all become 'offensive'. Offensive gets quotation marks because faux outrage on the internet is a disgusting thing. Up there with soccer players who flop. I sort of understand the No Politics rule (actually, not really), but locking that thread was throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Again, I'm new. Whatever, JMO. It was a thread about Revis more than anything and had it been allowed to live that is exactly what would have played out. Yeah maybe, I guess, but no need to lock it. I think there's a crazy story in there about a former player now playing for their biggest rival going to the WH with his old team for a WH Championship congrats. Has that happened before? How many times? Who was it? Which teams? Any other sports? Just feel like a 'Hey guys, going to let this one go unless it starts going too OT' would have been just fine. I subscribe to this forum, I wish there were more posts\thoughts in here. The Revis thread could have been fun potentially, definitely agree with that. But someone would ruin it. Racial posts deleted and over we have had game days with over 4,000 posts. We don't have many rules but time and time again people have proven that some topics will go off the rails. I actually didn't see the locked thread you were referring to. I looked for it but I couldn't find it. I agree in theory that it should be something that can be discussed.
