Who is our Returner?

That was the one real benefit of having Percy Harvin last year. Every return was exciting. Of course terribly coached by Rex Ryan with instructions to return anything no matter how deep in your own Endzone but who takes the mantle this year?

Kerley I suppose is the default fair catcher, but are there any returners on the squad as it is.

Will Cro go back on kickoffs? Personally i didn't like him returning- Cro's a simple man and I didn't want him to be distracted from playing D- but, like Percy his top tier athleticism made him exciting.

Cro is too old, and valuable to put back there... TJ Graham sucked as a returner, almost as much as he sucks as a receiver. (Remember when he laid down in the endzone like an idiot?) Hakim would be interesting as a returner with his speed, although I'd prefer we draft someone. Possibly a Joe McKnight type of guy who can be a passing down RB and kickoff returner... if that exists in this draft class. Closest guy I can think of is Abdullah.

Kerley should be replaced returning punts at all costs hes just bad. Im guessing one of our 75 DB's will be a returner. Or Like Villian said we draft a WR/RB/KR .... KO returners are now worthless which sucks and ruined an exciting part of the game.

That was a bad play call, really not his fault.

I miss McKnight he was fun to watch before he got fat and cut.

hoping we draft someone like Philip Dorsett to do this.

Cro is on the other side of 30 now, I think his kick returning days are over.

Yes.  Putting Cro back there is begging for something bad to happen.  Young speedster with sure hands would be a nice pick up in the draft.

Yeah Cro only returned kicks in big situations when we needed a big play like in the AFC Wildcard game in Indy. He made a big return past the 40, giving the offense a chance to win the game (which they did) but he was never a full time KR anyways in NY.

I think that because touchbacks, at least to me have increased so much, this is position is not nearly as important as it used to be.

Agreed -- PR is still important, but the importance of the KR has been reduced by the new kickoff rule.  Seems as if most of the time when a guy takes it out from deep in the end zone, they don't get back to the 20.  Unless you need a big play late, there is little reason to try to return a kick from 5+ yards into the end zone.
