Tom brady now at thug turd status

Saw in an article or a tweet or whatever how the combination of docking draft picks plus the fine will net Kraft hundreds of thousands over the upcoming 12 months following the punishment. The first round pick they'd take would have made around $1.8M (though subtract from that at least the UDFA rookie minimum of $400K); the fine is only $1M even.

Plus (though it wasn't said), I'm quite certain Kraft will be exempt from paying 4 games of Brady game checks = $1,750,000.

That the best way to hurt them was to also remove all (or at least a lot of) cap credit so they are forced to spend more, instead of Kraft profiting probably a couple million through this alleged punishment.

It would be hilarious if the Pats tried to go the lawsuit route on this one. Robert Kraft... the new Al Davis.

someone asked about could NFL get Kraft via Rico Law? #rd time caught cheating, he claims ignorance like Mafia bosses did, but Rico allows owner, CEO etc to be liable for organization infractions....

Possible or more important, plausible?

Nail him on the Responsible Corporate Officer Doctrine:

The responsible corporate officer doctrine imposes strict liability on corporate officers based solely on their area of responsibility within the corporation, regardless of their knowledge of the underlying criminal activity or their participation in it.

Isn't that only for a publicly traded company?

No, any company that engages in criminal activity. Besides we are just chatting here not building a case. Violating NFL rules is not a crime. We're just having fun.
