Forbes: Avoid BMW

According to Forbes this is the top new car to avoid.  http://www3.forbes.com/autos/15-new-cars-to-avoid/16/

1. BMW 7 Series

BMW’s flagship sedan seems to have lost its edge in recent years. It’s wrapped in languid styling and just doesn’t feel as sporty as it did in earlier renditions; an odd product lineup includes an expensive and not especially efficient gas-electric hybrid model. Consumer Reports takes the 7 Series to task for being “a ponderous, technology-laden vehicle with ungainly handling,” and is included in the publication’s lists of lowest-scoring cars, worst overall values and most expensive operating costs in its class. Not to pile on, but it also gets a rock-bottom resale value rating from ALG and a below average performance score from J.D. Power.

Thank you for the public service announcement really important to put good info like this out there.

Huh, it's almost like buying a Beamer is for upper-lower class douchebags who want to feel rich while overpaying for a piece of machinery whose cost is justified only by a distorted sense of symbolism. Weird.

Whew.. glad nobody went out and got one yet, Hey wait a garsh down minute....

I was just gonna say, that car is nice if you're on the smaller end. But good god if you're normal sized.

The smallest vehicle I feel remotely comfortable  is the Toyota Avalon I bought my sons.  Not terrible.  I have a Chevy Avalanche and the wife drives a Suburban.  Perfect fit for us.  My gigantic ass needs space and Mrs Crusher enjoys driving around in a mobile pantry.  "Oh did we run out of paper towels?"  "Go get some from the Suburban."   LOL

What's the difference between a BMW and a porcupine? The porcupine has it's pricks on the outside

I thought I didn't like SUVs until I drove a monster 4x4 all around Iceland. That was like having two cocks, except one of my cocks could drive up ice covered mountains.

They are really nice to drive but mileage sucks... I was going to by a Yukon Hybrid but even that was getting low 20's.

Agreed. Yet, two Christmas ago we headed upstate to see my Dad.  Mrs Crusher and my two daughters drove up couple days late and spun out(65 mph) on black ice, went thru a four post fence and ended up slamming sideways into a ditch so hard the step up bar snapped off the truck.  All three of them stiff for a couple of days.  The truck totaled with a busted frame and axles on the side they hit bent like a lawn chair I sat on.  I learn to accept the pricey gas bills.

I can't wrap my mind around the idea that any automobile can safely operate on a roadway that harbors even one flake of snow.

The only thing more obnoxious than bragging about owning a BMW is making a post on your own message board prominently advertising the fact that you read Forbes.

I hate you LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the hilarious thing is bragging about a BMW in this market.  I only see about 3 Maybach's a year, maybe 25  Bentley GT Speeds.

Those are rides worth bragging about.  The funny thing is, the owners typically wouldn't be caught dead actually bragging about them
