David Harris Posted May 16, 2015 Share Posted May 16, 2015 Wow - just watched on Popcorn Time (which if you haven't heard is the best thing ever-free Netflix essentially, totally illegal/doesn't feel that way tho) Anyway, Ex Machina is the best movie I've seen in a year, highly recommended for those tired of block buster sequels. It's basis is AI but it is a really fresh and well done take. The 3 main actors are a tour de force. - Alicia Vikander, the absurdly attractive and earnest AI fem bot - Oscar Isaac, who is now IMO the best actor of his generation, slightly underplayed in A Most Violent Year but captivating and now in this film he is intense, funny, engaging and always captivating. I can't wait to look into his move Inside Llewyn Davis. But I'm sad to know he's already going super mainstream with Star Wars and X-Men. Not sure it's possible. And try to avoid DLing the movies if you can. Those who DL are the ones the movie industry will prosecute if/when the inevitable litigation takes place. Just stream them. It offered to stream directly to chromecast which is probably the better option which I'll try tonight Movie wasn't bad. Movie could of easily been an episode of Black Mirror (highly recommend watching this if you enjoyed this movie) Funny enough Dohmnall Gleason (career is taking off and has been in several good movies already also son of Irish actor Brendan Gleeson) is in one of the episodes.
