Shots were fired. Brandon dives right in. Calls out all our corners for todays redzone practice.

Loving this competition between our receivers and DB's. Hopefully we can get the same thing going with the D-Line / O-Line as well. It'll elevate everybody's game a little.

The D is still better than the O and in a 'real' scrimmage with our beast dline coming hard there would be problems.  At least with this new regime the object of the game is not to crush and humiliate the offense and then wonder why it sucks once you hit the reg season like the Rex era.

So who do we want to win this battle?  The secondary or the receivers?

He's gonna be disappointed when he finds out Revis is tougher to beat than his girlfriend.

He has already beat Revis for a TD in the previous OTAs. No puns here.

Iirc, Revis owned Marshall when he was with the fish.

Not really.  Marshall actually gave him fits some games and other games Revis contained him.  He had the nice endzone pick 6 for 100 yards that Marshall complained about saying the Revis pulls more than any other CB in the game and that he gets "Jordan treatment".  But Revis has mad respect for him.  I think he said at one point he's the toughest match up in the league. Actually, I think both Cro and Revis have said that.

Not sure if Revis was on him in 2008 when BMarsh was still in Den but he had 5 for 55.

In Miami:

2010:

10 - 167 - 1 TD

2 - 16 - 1 TD

2011:

6 - 109

5 - 50

Yup.  That pick 6 was interference

Nice to see team leaders step up and motivate each other.  It's been a while since we've had the players doing the motivating of each other and actively creating the culture.

I'm not ignoring the fact that we have a lot to prove as a team.  Our QB is an issue.  Our HC and coaching staff is brand new.  It's May and everything is candy and hugs and kisses.

However, I am really pleased with what I'm hearing and what it is being reported.

I trust that Macc will handle the Mo issue.  I also love the fact that the coaches squashed the incessant "who is QB1, QB2" questions by putting a stake in the ground.  I also trust that the best players will play and if Geno bombs he'll be out and next guy up.

It's feel professional around here and not like a circus.

Revis likes the big guys.  It is those really quick guys that fluster him. lIke Stevie.

And Ted Ginn Jr. I can't believe he got burnt twice by that guy.

Was Ginn a lot better than we think, or was he just not a good matchup for Revis?

The Jets won both games he went over 100 yards, don't remember Marshall being a factor against Revis despite the gawdy stats in that first matchup.

6 for 109 is nothing to shake a stick at.

I think in general, Marshall has had more success than most vs. Revis...but yeah, its not like he has his way.  It was really fun match up to watch IMO.

Stoked they're both Jets!

He didn't mention Darrin Walls-- I'd take walls over all those guys except revis and cro

I remember Revis going on record saying that Marshall is his toughest assignment next to Moss. He's a big physical receiver that uses his body real well.

Well, he actually called Moss a "slouch", along with T.O.  He said Steve Smith and Chad Ochocinco were "competitors" and he called Andre Johnson "a beast".

Marshall is a great receiver, but he dares to challenge Revis Island?

D Revis while still a top tier cb, isn't anything like the Cb he was a couple years ago. Revis Island doesn't exist anymore( just fantasy now). How many times do rookie QB ever challenge the great Revis and get away with it .( in the past that would never happen)

The midget is back. Hey, Tattoo, forget about Revis Island and get back to the Al Davis Love Boat.

I believe Revis missed that game with a hamstring injury

EDIT: Nevermind, that was 2010
