Jetsfan80
Rounds 1 & 2 wrapped up last night, with Rounds 3-10 coming up today and 11-40 tomorrow. 8 shortstops went in the 1st round, the most players of any non-pitcher spot taken in the 1st in MLB history (since the draft began in 1965). Astros have had the most interesting draft so far, as per usual: 1.2: Alex Bregman, Jr. SS, LSU 1.5: Kyle Tucker, OF (High School) Comp A.37: Daz Cameron, OF (HS) 2.46: Thomas Eshelman, Jr. RHP, Cal St Fullerton Cameron is Mike's son. And Bregman in my view was the best college SS in the country, even better than # 1 overall pick Dansby Swanson from Vanderbilt. Bregman is an Astro by virtue of a compensatory pick, which Houston picked up for failing to re-sign # 1 pick Brady Aiken last year. Aiken went 17th to Cleveland this time around. Cubs got 2 proven hitters as usual. Mets only had one pick (Cuddyer compensation) and took a High School outfielder. Yankees got 3 college kids, two of them pitchers. SenorGato
I'd go Rockies with best draft day draft so far. Love the Braves' first two picks. Hoping the Cubs gamble on Justin Hooper tomorrow. Cubs adding trade bait, Happ was as Cubs a pick as this draft would give at 9. He and Dewees should sign quickly, get PAs, and be ready for some trade rumors this winter. Bryan Hudson is a Sean Marshall starting kit, Ryan Kellogg is one of my favorite college lefties and a good org depth arm.

Jetsfan80
Nats Draft Mariano Rivera Jr. Probably a good thing the Yankees didn't take him. His dad went undrafted and Junior doesn't have his cutter. Expectations will be pretty high.
Morrissey
I have no idea who had a good draft.
SenorGato
Yankees got my favorite teenaged bat in the draft in Isiah Gilliam in the 20th round. Same age as most HS seniors, graduated early, and was one of the most productive hitters at Chipola JC this year despite being one of the youngest in the lineup. Switch hitter who is possibly a legit switch hitter, praised for his approach and potential power. 9th rated freshman in the country by BA. Cubs took him last year but ran out of pool money.
