joewilly12
Moffitt had retired two years ago because of drug issues, and he announced this week he planned to return, after which the Broncos, who had his rights, released him. Moffitt had said when he walked away he no longer had the passion for the sport, and he seemed pretty set in his decision. But if he's really ready to commit to it again, he'd be worth bringing in to camp, even at age 28. Remember, linebacker Erin Henderson is an addict, and the Jets are giving him another shot. As you said, it wouldn't cost the Jets much to take a flyer on Moffitt. And they would probably be able to tell pretty quickly if he's committed enough to it. Moffitt's past as a player won't remind anyone of Hannah or Faneca. But no matter what happens, don't look for Moffitt to sign anywhere until closer to the start of training camp. For those of you looking to learn more about Moffitt, I recommend this New York Times feature on him from last November.
NYallDay
I know john personally, great guy, but does not have the mindset for football anymore. Had it in college but the passion isn't there. But like I said, a genuine good guy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
