Boonton, NJ- On July 1st Geno Smith held his 2nd annual Procamp. Procamps is an organization that helps connect professional athletes as well as the best high school and prep school coaches in the surrounding area with children in grades 1st-8th to help hone their fundamentals and develop their skills in the game of football. This procamp was one of many this summer. This video is the media session with Geno Smith that included us, Interstate of Green, The Star Ledger, ABC 7, SNY, The New York Post and many other outlets. this will be part of a feature i am making for wiredjersey.com about the importance of youth football and if it's worth it for kids to play with the injury scare.  the video will also be featured here with interviews with Eric Decker, Justin Pugh, and Brian Cushing.  Please enjoy and more multimedia is soon to follow on Interstate of Green!

I lived in Kinnelon and can't believe how built up Kinnelon, Boonton, Riverdale have become!

Home prices have gone through the roof.

Yeah.I was up there about a year ago. Can't believe there'd ever be a bunch of Walmarts up that way. I went to HS in Jefferson Twp (so did Brian Costello) and at Morris Hills (Rockaway Borough). It wasn't necessarily the 'country' growing up. But it was more of a sleepy suburb compared to what it is now.

I live in Bay Ridge now. I laugh when all the NYers i know say how great NJ is price-wise. Taxes are insane. The price of goods isn't that much lower either. Maybe gas I guess.

My uncle lives in the sticks (West Milford, not far from Riverdale, Kinnelon, etc) and pays $12k/yr in taxes. His house is nice but nothing crazy.

I just got back on Friday from a week long interview for a job in southern Alabama on the Gulf of Mexico and really hope I get it. I manage restaurants and bars for a living. Granted it was only a week but I really liked it down there. People are nicer, prices of everything are lower. The heat notwithstanding.

I'm done with the northeast.

Fla, Alabama, Arkansas, etc is where the largest growth is. Housing is cheap, in Fla. no income tax. Pa. is still a lot cheaper thatn NY, NJ Conn, Mass, Maryland etc. Moved out here 11 years ago. 5 bedrooms on nearly an acre.... $2,200 in taxes. Goodbye NJ/NY.... I'll just keep rooting for my Mets/Jets/Knicks/Rangers..... that's all I need

Awesome.

Yeah, with satellite there's no sports reason to hang around anymore.

The other manager and chef at this place are cruising around in Lexuses. Fingers crossed I get this gig.

My wife will never let me leave nj- her family and friends are everywhere here but I question if I'm so northeast myself if I could ever leave despite my complaining of the rudeness and costs...

Anyway- regarding geno's interviews- not to go all psychobabble but it's hard hearing a natural introvert pretend he's an extrovert. Quarterbacks are expected to be rah rah Drew Bree's extroverts but Geno is obviously a quiet guy by nature who needs space and time to himself.

He's very physically talented but is so young and doesn't yet understand the need to be himself, for example, and tell Brandon Marshall he doesn't want to live with him because he needs alone time to recharge his batteries, lol, I swear thats what I really think. That he's going to mentally and emotionally burn out trying to be someone else despite enormous physical and mental attributes.
