New hot water heater in June. New furnace and central air unit in July. New roof in August.

It has been a very very expensive summer. Can't believe how expensive hot water heaters are now. I did a 50 gl tank in 2003 by myself for $600. I paid somebody $1500 to install a 40 gl tank. And no more sodering?

Next year it's windows and insulation and siding.

Joewilly update yourself lol like usual your head is either up your ass or in the clouds. The price of hot water heaters recently within the last 4 months almost tripled in cost due to new regulations. Also I couldn't leave the old one on the curb for garbage pickup anymore a)they don't take them anymore and B) the township permit nazis would have fined me.

Do me a favor and educate yourself before you open your big mouth in one of my threads :)

Yes.  Did they make you put the little computer thingy on it?  I got a new one little bit back and it has a computer on it.  No kidding.  Crazy crap.

Yeah with a blinking light on it lol no more pilot light.

Also the furnace as an ultraviolet zapper to destroy any sh*t in the air.

I'm dying to see my electric bill next month to see if this sh*t made a difference. Also condensation pump inside for the ac unit, the old one was gravity

Also getting new gas meter put in next Monday, old one says 1984 on it :)

I have to do a year before I can say but I think its helping.  My house is a cape cod so nothing you are going to do to make the upstairs cool.  LOL  Nothing.

The last time I bought the central ac unit was 1998 and I got a 3/4 ton unit with a v coil. That thing kicked ass for 17 years but just blew up two weeks ago. The new unit is a 1/2 ton with an n coil. And it is kicking ass. Got the ducts cleaned also.

The furnace was 30 years old lol it was time. And I'm getting a new attic fan with the new roof next month. So we shall see what the electric bill will be at the end of August

Good luck with the house BP no need to get all hostile when it rains it pours you fix one thing and another breaks in the end its all worth it.

Yes, but stately ****** manor is a legendary location. And the wildlife in the backyard and other wonderful things. I would very much like to visit this hallowed home one day and make a lot of smithwicks and Guinness disappear :)

Two words: Home warranty. Keep calling until you find a company willing to cover you without initial inspection. Ride that horse like Rooster Cogburn in True Grit. They will eventually dump you after your third or fourth claim, rinse and repeat.

Come on, my experience with these scum bags is that there is such a narrow criteria you need to meet for coverage that most times they give you the big FU
