What are your thoughts? And sorry to the Bryce Petty supporters. Right now it looks like Bryce wont be suiting up much so I wanted to do a poll with players that as of today we know will have opportunity to see the field.

I think Devin Smith has an opportunity here. He'll be stealing some time from Kerley while having the advantage of a top 10 rushing attack and top 10 WR duo on the field with him. I think Devin Smith could pull off a 6 to 8 TD rookie season with about 3 to 4 of those being of 30 yards or more.

I think Smith will be among the best rookie WR's by the end of the season.

No need to over-analyze it: Leonard Williams was arguably the best player in the entire draft, he'll be the best player in the Jets' rookie class.

Exactly, he's going to get a chance all year to make plays. Rookie WRs don't often do much.

Williams obviously has the most potential, but I would LOVE for someone on the offense to step up and give us something to cheer about. It is the offense that will decide if the Jets are contenders or pretenders.

Yup! And I think teams that passed on Devin Smith in order to take other WR's (Ravens in particular) will soon be wishing they didnt by the end of the season.

I think that if Devin Smith doesnt have the best rookie season of the 3 he would have atleast made this conversation relevant.

I think the answer is a bit complicated.   On just individual performances, I think Williams will have the most impact because he has the most talent, and is surrounded by enough talent that he'll get favorable matchups and wreck havoc.   However, I think Smith impacts his position better than whomever is his replacement, because his speed and tracking ability opens up dimensions of this offense that just didn't exist the last few years.

So Williams or Smith?

"Rookies" dont often do much. With that said, many rookies are putting up between 600 to 1000 yards on a yearly basis during this era of football.

Actually not many do. Some have. Which is why I wrote, "Rookie WRs don't often do much."

And I'm thinking Williams can approach normal numbers for a top DL. Not have to develop as even a 600 yard WR would

Regardless of what the team need is, we landed the best talent in the draft with Williams and he is immediately am impact player. There is no doubt in my mind that he is far and away the best 1st year talent that we have on the team and may quite possibly be the best rookie talent of the entire draft class. This dude is a beast and might very well end up being Watt-Like! His makeup is off the charts!
