2015 Break Out players?

If you had to pick 2 players that were on the roster in 2014, which ones do you expect to be solid contributors on a consistent basis?

My choices & both of these are a direct result of Sheldons suspensions and the Devin Smith injury.

Ik is my 1st choice. Bowles is an unconventional defensive coach & with our defense top 5 in stopping the run our pass rushers need to be fresh.

I see Bowles using Ik when he's looking to speed up the pass rush.

My 2nd choice is Chris Owusu. Chris goes from playing the 2nd receiver last year to the 3rd & most likely 4th WR.

I thought he showed some good strength & hands (reminds me of Pierre Garçon). When you take a guy with speed & strength and they get to work in more space and against 3rd & 4th string CBs good things can happen.

Someone will step up at WR, Graham?, Posey?, Evans?, my choice is Owusu but it's encouraging to know that there will be a helluva competition between all these guys.

I'm on record not having a lot of high expectations for Geno, and I know this has been discussed and analyzed on this board.

But so far it does look like the combination of the arrival of Chan, better receivers and Bowles is paying off.

In the camp notes I'm wondering about the defense....Geno seems to be doing pretty good against them and the defense is supposed to be ahead of the offense at this point in camp.

If the defense is as good as we're told it is, and with effectiveness we're seeing out of the offense, this could be the turnaround year for Geno.

My number two: Dexter McDougle. ACLs are hard to come back from. There is a loss of flexibility it really will take two years to get back (if ever). I believe Dexter will work around it and be starter quality this year.

Geno having to do well for our success is a given. I was thinking more of the off the radar young guys. Happens every year in this league that backups all of sudden become very important bit players & start to shine and make plays.

Something tells me with Marshall & Decker, whoever gets that 3rd/4th spot will be able to get open a lot & I love what I've seen from Owusu with the ball in his hands after the catch, seems to get to full speed very quickly.

Whoever Bowles chooses as his designated pass rusher should benefit from an Oline dealing with 3 very strong guys that can move keeping teams from double teaming anyone.

I'm going to go with Geno Smith and Coples. Coples will have that extra few seconds with a new secondary.

i agree.  coples will really benefit by having a coach who understands where he should play, and geno will benefit from better wrs and a system that plays to his strengths.

1. Ik Enemkpali. Im on record saying that IK would make this team last year as a 6th rounder given what I seen from his college tape and his preseason. This year I expect him to be our pass rushing specialist, minimum. And given what I hear about today's practice, it seems like he is going after that OLB spot.

2. Though I want to go Dexter McDougle here so bad, Im going to give props to Geno Smith. Its been 3 days of camp and if im correct Geno hasnt thrown an INT yet, however he's been slinging the ball all over the field while making good decisions as of when to run or throw the ball away. Though I must say that I along with most are very impressed with Dexter, If Geno puts together a solid quarterbacking performance (top 17) this team is a superbowl contender. For a guy who's been all over  Geno by way of brining in other talent I will take the time to give the guy props. He looks like he's stepping up.

Honorable Mentions: Dexter McDougle, Shaq Evans, Jace Amaro, Chris Owusu, Quinton Coples.
