BEHIND THE BAG!!

The 2016 season will be Vin Scully’s last in the broadcasting booth for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

On Friday, the team revealed that the 87-year-old legend would return for his 67th season. However, on Saturday, Scully told media members this season would be his last.

From the Associated Press:

“I would say realistically — I don’t want any headlines — but I would say next year would be the last one,” he said, joking, “How much longer can you go fooling people?”

“I would be saying, ‘Dear God, if you give me next year, I’ll hang it up.'”

As self-effacing as ever, Scully said, “I do feel in my bones that will be enough for sure and I’m sure the people will say that will be enough as well.”

What a career. Let’s just think for a second about how long Scully has been doing this job. It’s pretty amazing.

If Fox had any sense of decency they'd let him do the World Series this year.

I could listen to that man describe any game.  His voice is just, so perfect.  His delivery, perfect.   The amount of baseball he has seen over the years, 67 years.

When the Yanks played the Dodgers 2 years ago, listening to him describe Mo was like... butter for my ears.
