joewilly12
http://deadspin.com/cleveland-browns-suspend-offensive-line-coach-andy-moel-1729183710 Cleveland Browns Suspend Offensive Line Coach Andy Moeller Indefinitely [UPDATES] 234,474 5 Tim MarchmanFiled to: CLEVELAND BROWNS9/07/15 3:10pm Here is a statement the Cleveland Browns just put up on their website: Statement from Cleveland Browns Spokesman on Offensive Line Coach Andy Moeller “Browns offensive line coach Andy Moeller has been suspended indefinitely by the team effective immediately. Over the weekend, Andy was involved in an incident, involving allegations that we take very seriously. We have followed our internal protocol, determining that right now it is best for the team and for Andy to take time away from the organization to focus on his personal matters. We are going to respect the process of investigation on this personal matter and will have no further comment at this time.” Obviously any time words like “incident,” “allegations,” and “personal matters” come up in relation to an NFL coach it’s of interest. While no one seems to be quite sure what sort of incident Moeller is alleged to have been involved in, he does have a track record of being arrested for driving under the influence. Know anything? We’re at tips@deadspin.com. Update (5:00 p.m.): Update (7:39 p.m.): Uh-oh. Andy Moeller is being investigated for allegedly assaulting a female guest at his home, sources familiar with the situation told ESPN Browns reporter Pat McManamon on Monday. A woman called Berea police over the weekend, alleging Moeller had assaulted her, the sources said. The woman was a guest of Moeller’s from Maryland. AFJF
At least they have a coach who will keep people in line over there in Cleveland. No screwing around under Pettine's watch, and his players and staff know it.

Miss Lonelyhearts
and he'll be unemployed by next February No he won't. Farmer is as good as canned but Pettine isn't going anywhere.

Could be...hopefully Bowles is the real deal and anyone who we didn't hire/fire becomes a moot point. Can't wait.
ARodJetsFan
Suspended Browns OL coach Andy Moeller's arrest was related to a "domestic issue." Moeller has a history of alcohol-related arrests. Already suspended indefinitely by the Browns, Moeller is staring at a formal six-game ban from the league. ARodJetsFan
Sounds like a Domestic Violence arrest to me FWIW. Edited September 8, 2015 by ARodJetsFan
slats
Waiting on confirmation that this is, indeed, Mike Pettine's fault.
Ken Schroy
I still think we'd be in a pretty good spot right now if we had fired Rex and promoted Pettine after 2011. I think Bowles will be a better Coach. IMHO
varjet
Although the Browns have invested valuable draft picks in their OL and appear to have picked smartly, this guy despite his faults was likely an important part of that. This would appear to be why he has been around as long as he has, as his issues appear to be acknowledged. Haven't there been other behavioral problems with OL coaches? RutgersJetFan
Has anyone thought to ask what the woman did? Perhaps she spoke out of turn or refused to help clean up.
The Crusher
Has anyone thought to ask what the woman did? Perhaps she spoke out of turn or refused to help clean up. Point is we don't have the full story yet. Im waiting to see if we have confirmation he was told in writing he should not do the thing he allegedly may have done. Basically we all owe him an apology at this point.
Kleckineau
NFLPA has previously signed off on 4 game suspensions for telling a woman to get back in the kitchen so the punishment should stick.

#27TheDominator
Nobody posted anything more about this circus? It was getting some radio play here because Moeller was with the Ravens and the woman is from Maryland. On the 911 call, the woman identifies herself as "Sandy" and said she lives in Maryland. She identifies her attacker as Moeller and "he tried to strangle me and beat me up." She initially says she is Moeller's fiancee, "not anymore though." She also told the dispatcher Moeller had been violent before. "I hate to do this to him," she says. "But, you know what? I'm glad I made it out of there in time." http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/woman-says-in-911-call-browns-assistant-tried-to-strangle-me/ar-AAe47RG?ocid=ansmsnsports11
