Jetdawgg
How badly is Colon injured? Any word or update?
Jet_Engine1
Winters was a direct reason for one of Fitzs picks....stopped blocking his man and stood there and watched his guy put his hands up to deflect a pass. Dude is a loser. Garbage.
jetfuel
It should be Jarvis Harrison time if Colon is out for any period of time. Raw or not, he's gotta be better than Winters.
Villain The Foe
This is why you trade down and pick up those Olinemen instead of drafting Leonard Williams. Just sayin'
AFJF
Couldn't always tell from straight-on at MetLIfe but Westhoff on postgame saying Fitz had O-lineman being pushed in to his face all day long. Was wondering how much of it was Winters.

jetsjets
I didn't even know Colon was out til I seen Winters getting pushed back into the pocket. Next play they sent the blitzer right at him again.

sirlancemehlot
The nfl has changed. Guards are becoming more important than centers and tackles due to the more complex blocking schemes. The guards are often covered and yet account for most of the pulling and downfield blocking. With the disappearance of the nose guard, they are often handling the biggest bodies our there. It's not a position to ignore any longer.
Jetdawgg
Winters is still not an NFL caliber G. He is over matched in one-on-one schemes more or less the complex middle (C-G) blitz schemes. The NFL is about speed, power and pressure. With Mangold struggling, mostly due to speed as he is beaten badly at the polnt of attack, Winters becomes unsustainable at G.

He is not worse than Winters.
Villain The Foe
This is a really good point. Seemed like he got pushed around in the Colts game a bit, too... yeah he did. The Oline did well against the Browns and though they kept the pocket clean for the most part during passing plays for the Colts they were suspect during the running game. Yesterday looked like they were exposed a bit. Now with Colon injured sh*t is about to get real now that we're facing Donkey Kong Suh and the Fins, another team desperate for a win to keep their season alive in their division. As a side note, now that we have lost and we're facing a desperate division team im looking forward to see how this coaching staff adapts. It will be great to have most if not all our playmakers back next week.

Too bad the QB doesn't have the ability to get the ball downfield to make them pay.
#27TheDominator
All camp they ran everybody at RG and Winters seemed to be almost an afterthought. Now he is the next man up? Was he hurt or something? I'm surprised they haven't tried Ijalana there. He was grading pretty good as a G with the Colts before he got hurt, IIRC.
