AFJF
Just a few random observations from Wembley today. - The only negative was a personal one...having purchased, but not secured my tickets, I had so little time to interact with other Jets fans. Would have loved to have the chance to get everyone from here who was at the game to meet up for a photo op. No time after the game either as we had to relieve our babysitters....anyway..... - Great start to the day arriving early enough to meet up with Make me IdSick and Fireman Ed for just a few minutes before I had to go meet my ticket POC. They had TGI Friday's back corner packed out with Jets fans to the point that they almost didn't let me and my wife come in due to health and safety (they're big on that out here) but Jason convinced them that they could handle a few more people. - It came as absolutely zero surprise to me as to how cool Ed was. I was actually there when two British Jets fans approached him and said "Ed, you have no idea how much we apprecaite you. You're our hero". Ed has universal appeal that will undoubtedly outrage his detractors who just can't understand why they're not the ones on the jumbotron leading the chant. - As expected, some more universal appeal had an impact on the distribution of supporters. Pleny of Dan Marino jersey's in the crowd in what was a Miami-heavy group. The ones in my section didn't appreciate me. Had a beer thrown on me at one point for cheering a Demario Davis hit but I was assured by security that they saw it and it was "an accident". - Stadium was way off the field, had decent seats in the second-level but huge gap between sidelines and beinnging of seating. - Fitz was Fitz, but I liked how well he ran the ball today. Had one or two runs that I feel Geno would have bailed and run in the opposited direction as he did so any times last year. I dunno, maybe Gailey has broken him of that, but until he gets on the field I'll defer to what we know of him. - Brandon Marshall and Ivory are difference-makers....can't get the ball to them enough IMO. - Heard quite a few Jets chants coing from the lowers where Ed was leading it. Great to hear that chant in a stadium on the other side of the ocean. - Even with the insane exchange rate, beers were significanlty less than what you'd pay at MetLife...around $8 - Most surprising thing was the number of locals in the crowd. I knew they'd be there, but thought US tourists/fans/military would make up a much larger percentage of those in the seats. Only a matter of time before there's a team here. johnnyjet
Jet fans were louder than fin fans. at least 30% of the fans were clueless as to when you cheer and when you don't. No home field advantage at all. Refs were so bad I thought the game was fixed. Marshall got mugged in the end zone, no call. Revise got a PI and he never touched the guy. Such kicked fitz n the head, no,flag. Fans and country were great , I,say give them Jacksonville.

Panzer Division Marduk
Agreed on the ticket collection thing - took way too long. Had to queue for 3/4 of an hour to pick up my ticket. While Chrebet was on that truck giving an interview. Gah. Also, it took 20 minutes just to get in. The business of scanning your own tickets, and if something was wrong, there was never any staff to help. Not clever Some atmosphere, I was up near the rafters, with a few other Jets fans, and you could hear a chant starting, and then another one would start from another pocket of Jets fans, and so on. That Miami TD song. Is it really meant reduce everybody else to tears of laughter at how pathetic it is? Ivory was f**king awesome. And watching Miami fans lose the plot each time Fitz did those third down runs. English Patriot fans make their American equivalents seem nice, meek and humble. And they were f**king everywhere. And that game seemed to take FOREVER. Ended up having to run the whole way back to the train station, just managed to make my flight back.
Flushing Roots
Only a matter of time before there's a team here. We all know the NFL is all about the money. They will do the analysis of the franchises with the poorest attendance records and will pick one if this ever happens. If they can increase the revenue between the exposure, TV rights and increased attendance, they will go for it.

The NFL wanted eyes glued to the TV for as long as possible...which probably explains the excessive penalties.
Sperm Edwards
Biggest betting day yet over there (among NFL games played there) and was 10x higher than the average NFL game not played over there. It was (is) on espn.com I think. Not that big of a deal; it's not like there have been dozens of games over there and I guess one of them had to be the highest bet. But still, they're clearly pushing any story that might eventually lead to a "makes sense" reaction if they finally do put a team over there. I was disappointed that they didn't put you guys on the big screen, but makes sense since it was a Miami home game. I couldn't see you guys, but I joined in when I could hear you! It also sounded like a Miami home game, where the Jets chant is often better than it is here.
