Defensive line dominance? Really didn't see it today...

yeah, easy to "dominate" a RB when he's playing hurt.

fitz wasn't pressured any more than any other QB is in a game.  You won, barely, get over the rest of the nonsense.

NE only dressed 2 RBs which is sort of unheard of.

There is nobody else on the Jets who can rush the ball? There were no running lanes open and the NE D smothered the LOS. The NE game plan was to stuff the run and force Fitzy to win the game. NE dropped at least 3 INTs as Fitzy was harassed all game. NE had constant pressure on him all day.

nothing dumber than to talk about dropped INTs as if they happened.

Even if he was hurt, Pats D collapsed on Ivory the second he touched the ball. And Marshall was doubled all game. Seemed to find a Decker mismatch until the 4th quarter. Suspect today is going to be the most awful film session the Jet could ever imagine. The game was there, and there were crucial points that effed it up; pulling in the horns before half, Marshall's drop, not getting Brady's fumble and generally utterly piss poor pass defense in every way, awful clock management.

Good news though on the contract front; Mo Wilkerson will have this tape of some scrub Pats' OL guys neutralizing him all day shoved in his face if he tries to get JJ Watt=type dollars. Despite 4 credited sacks, this was an abysmal effort against a bunch of nothings by the self-proclaimed best DL in the NFL. Didn't do dick in the 4th.

Meh, they held the Pats to 16 rushing yards.  Brady was there leading rusher.  They made them one dimensional.  They had 3 sacks, a strip and a should have been pick 6.

The Jets left plays on the field, a lot of them.  So did the Pats though.  Never seen that many drops in my life.

Doesnt matter how good you are when the ball gets out as fast it does and holding isnt a penalty vs. the Pats.

They play calling and game management was terrible.  The coaching staff went into a scared to lose shell.  It was sad to see.  They controlled 85% of that game.

You just dont enter Foxborough and leave with a win.  It just doesnt happen.

Did not really see it. To be honest, the defense did nothing to impress anyone. It was almost as the same ol' jets. Any delusions of SB this year were decisively crushed today. I understand there is more ball to play, but for the afc east teams, to make it to the dance you must beat the pats three times in a season.

Nope, you only need to beat them once.  This was what I was talking about before the game.  There would be so many who would suddenly declare us SB bound if we won, and now chicken littles like you that suddenly think the sky is falling and we're doomed.  We're 4-2.  Look around the league that's a solid record.  We have an opportunity to be 14-2, though obviously very unlikely.  we also have the opportunity to go 4-12, though also obviously very unlikely.  There's nothing about this game to hang our heads about.  We played them tougher than any other team in the league thus far this season, and we did it in their house.  You move on and get ready for the Raiders and hope we're 6-2 by the time we face them again.

That's funny, they never sacked him. Hit yes, but we hit Tommy boy more. Your Dline is average, you needed Chung in the box jerko. Try paying attention.

Yo Kenny.

Fitzy was sacked twice. Jones and Collins each recorded a sack. Fitzy was hurried and had passes batted down all day.

The Jets sacked Brady 3 times with 4 first round picks on the DL. Over rated.

I don't get why the Jets had no back up plan if Ivory went down.

Both teams had a ton of drops.

Uh no. Brady was hurried a good deal, in the first half especially. Then he started getting rid of it sooner, because he feared for his life. Now go f**k yourself doucheboy.

On Gronks TD, Gilchrist had to leave coverage to blitz leaving Gronk wide open.

Phill Simms has been saying it for awhile now that the new offensive rules, the way teams get rid of then ball with quick pass plays has greatly reduced the ability of teams being able to field a great pass rush attack.

The Pats* have figured out they can neutralize any pass rush with Brady by collapsing the entire o-line to block the interior and getting it out before the edge rushers can get to Brady.

I would've like to have seen Bowles call more overload Blitzes to force Brady to throw it to Revis's side more.  That's something that Rex used to do.

On 3rd and 17 you cannot let an accurate passer with Bradys resume sit there and pick his target.  You overload and make him hit the hot guy short.  Then if you cannot tackle it is your fault.  TB did not do enough of that.

just stop, there was no barely about it. The jets lost, a lot of batted balls back at fitz..and all the talk about the weak pats oline, and the jets dline didn't eat like you wanted. The one time you all out rush Brady, he made you pay for it...

i hate the what if game, but as much as Marshall dropped a pass, let's not forget the one Edelman drop in the end zone on Revis too. I' m all good with given the jets props...but the majority of this fan base looks for excuses....it's a damn shame too because this jets team is really solid.

Enough of the revisionist history. I was at the game - The Jets were winning that game with 12:50 to go IN THE GAME and the Pats were 3 and 17. For 3 quarters the Jets were winning that game. At halftime the Jets were down 13-10. At 12:50 in the 4th qtr the Jets were winning 20-16. They adjusted just fine in the 2nd half. That 3 and 17 changed everything. Bowles said it was the right scheme but poor execution by one of the backs. There was no outcoaching crap or non adjustments. Gronkowski play was a blown coverage not a scheme problem. I truly believe that if the Jets stop the 3 and 17 they win - you sensed it before that play ( yes Pats fans you were worried so stop the cool confidence act) - but they didn't and hats off to Brady and co. As far as holding yes it was pretty obvious watching it live  but I couldn't tell you whether the Pats do it anymore than any other team.

I totally agree.  Bowles should have gone aggressive there and dictated to Brady where to throw.  Bad play call.
