prime21
Let me start off by saying what I have said many times on the boards...anything can happen in the playoffs. If you make it in then you have a shot. A crazy turnover, an injury, weather conditions and of course momentum that has sprung many teams into the Super Bowl. With that said you probably have to put all your money down on the Pats winning the AFC. Denver with a bad Manning probably wouldn't have done it and now they are worse off.. Cincy is a good team, forget about Monday, but I don't see them going into Foxboro in January and beating the Pats. The NFC is a mystery. Seattle and Green Bay aren't looking good at all and the NFC East is a joke. It may boil down to Carolina and Arizona. Both are good teams and very different. If I had to choose form the two I would say Arizona because they have more weapons on both sides of the ball but we have seen them lay an egg a few times this year. I think Arizona would have a better shot at beating NE because they can score more than the Panthers. But I don't see Arizona beating them either. The best shot at avoiding this nightmare scenario is by upsetting New England in the Divisional round coming off a bye week. I don't see them losing at home in the Conference Championship, The other scenario is Eli getting to the Super Bowl and taking the Pats out again. <-----Complete joke but hey why not?? Lets hope for an upset guys because I cannot fathom seeing this cheater holding up that trophy, and God forbid its a perfect season, being all smug and and laughing off delflategate. JustInFudge
Get as good with it as you can because it's 100% going to happen. I figure, if you just accept it now, it will be easier having to go through it all...again.
LockeJET
Does it really even matter anymore? He's already the GOAT regardless. I mean every other QB that you can put in this conversation had HOFers all over the field on both sides. Win or lose this year it doesn't even matter. He's the best ever and its really not even a discussion any longer. Especially at the age he's doing all this...It makes me puke but its the truth. When you put it all together, regular season, postseason, SB's, lack of talent on the team as a whole, etc...He's the GOAT!
bitonti
he's either the greatest quarterback of all time or hes the greatest cheater of all time And it doesn't actually matter which, cause either one is terrible for Jets fans.

Integrity28
We all feel this way, but all that happens when you say it is that Pats fans become more obnoxious, the odds of it happening improve (scientific fact), and Jet fans end up looking like a bigger collection of ho-hum losers than we already do. Please people, don't make them stronger.

Beerfish
It really doesn't matter. The Pats teams a good portion of the media and the Pats fans will look on him and these teams as a gold age of dynasty and one of the best teams/Qb's/coaches ever. They will think this way til the day they die and will pass it on to their kids. The rest of the football world 5, 10, 20 years from now will think of the player and team as a bunch if low class cheaters, that also will never change,
neckdemon
This really doesn't bother me much at all. The sooner you start looking at football as just some entertainment and stop letting it affecting you in this way.....the better off you'll be. Sure I want to see the jets win, but if they don't, oh well. I go outside and play football with my boys and life is good . If the patriots winning a superbowl is affecting you this much then it's time to find something that's actualky important to worry about

Unless you are employedoing by a team and it's success is really going to affect your life why let it get to you this way? Because we have a whole bunch of ex amateur athletes that all wish they could have played pro ball, coached pro ball, gm'd in pro ball and live vicariously through the team. If (big if) the Patriots get Edelman back by the playoffs and suffer no further season-ending injuries to key players, the only teams with a realistic shot of beating them in the playoffs are the Giants (at least 50/50 chance to win), Cardinals (25% or less), and Bengals (10% if in Cin). All other teams have anywhere from a 5% chance to no chance whatsoever. All odds in the previous paragraph provided by the late Pete Axthelm of "Pete's Picks". maury77
The bright side to the Pats winning another SB is that it makes it more likely that either Brady or BB will retire sooner rather than later. Another SB win will put both in rare company and perhaps each will feel that they have nothing left to accomplish. Either way, we aren't winning the SB this year. I've been watching the Jets since 85. Since that time, every team in our division has had a hall of fame QB except us: Dolphins - Marino Pats - Brady Bills - Kelly Colts (used to be in our division) - Manning and possibly Luck Jets should be due at this point, shouldn't they? The Crusher
hmm.. I think I'm in. I owe you a beating. Heading up 0n the 27th and staying till the 2nd. We usually do the casino on the 28th. We all go up, hit the epic buffet (full fatso) and then game for a few hours. They got a nice game room for the kids. My daughter won a pair of BEats headphones out of a game. Better than a 6 years old faded stuff grey elephant any day. You should come down, we can gamble, have a couple drinks, stomp you out and then wave goodbye as ladyfriend is carting you off to the trauma center. So convenient that SUNY health Science Center in Syracuse is practically on the way back to Rochester. Can't wait.
