He may not be the most gifted pass rusher from the 2015 draft class, or even close to it, but he's consistently going to maximize his abilities. That's all you can ask for if you're a coach or fan. Nostradamus Posted December 1, 2015 Share Posted December 1, 2015 Mauldin had that nice highlight reel sack and a good day....Catapano didn't have a highlight reel play but had a great game! He had a strong day coming off the edge against his former team mate left tackle Brandon Albert. Catapano showed both power and speed against the former All Pro. The tandem worked well together and the William's interception was a perfect example of the outside rush working. He caught it like someone had tossed him a wet fish. He kind of enveloped the ball. The second was a tough catch and he took it like a pro. Jetster Posted December 2, 2015 Share Posted December 2, 2015 We need these young guys this week. This Giant Oline is a clusterf*ck of bad & injured players. I love the idea of getting younger as the season progresses while other teams are struggling with injuries up front. That 1st game in Gillette the Pats got the usual cast of suspects for the most part all game, Pace, Davis, Harris, but the 2nd time around they'll get more speed from Mauldin, Reilly & Catapano plus a little more Henderson instead of Davis in the flat. Without a true edge rusher, the Jets struggled to find the quarterback early in the season despite sending pressure as much as any team in the league. Improved play from Muhammad Wilkerson, who has four sacks in as many games, and the development of rookie Lorenzo Mauldin has allowed New York to get more pressure over the last month despite blitzing at a much lower rate. With the secondary struggling, getting pressure without extra rushers would go a long way to solidify the defense.
