Bills Poach TJ Barnes off our PS, so long Snack's successor

Kyle Williams - DL -  Bills

Bills placed DT Kyle Williams on season-ending injured reserve with a knee injury.

This move is procedural after Williams underwent meniscus surgery last week. With Williams sidelined, the Bills' once-stout run defense has fallen off a cliff. DT T.J. Barnes, DE LaVar Edwards and LB Kevin Reddick were all signed to the active roster Tuesday.

At 6'7" 364 lbs. only in his 2nd year, sucks that we lost him to the Bills. He was, IMO, Snacks' eventual CHEAP replacement as our next Run-Stuffer.

also . . . .  .

Mike Catapano - DL -  Jets

Jets DE Mike Catapano played 57 percent of the defensive snaps Week 12 against the Dolphins.

Coach Todd Bowles made a concerted effort to get more speed on the field in passing situations against Miami, using Catapano and rookie Lorenzo Mauldin on the outside and moving Muhammad Wilkerson and Sheldon Richardson inside. Without a dominant edge rusher on the roster, the Jets will need to manufacture pressure. Using Catapano in passing situations may be one of the ways they try.

Not unexpected, when we moved him to the psquad initially I thought he was going straight to the bills.  If the jets have any intention of trading one of their dlineman this off season I would fleece the hell out of rex and go ahead and trade within the division.

This happens; at this rate, Ryan may not be there next year and he might get released... either way, we have great depth at DL at this point.  Sorry to see him go, but he wasn't making the roster here unless something happened and so at least he gets a chance to play in Buffalo.
