detectivekimble
Going into last week's game, Darrelle Revis was second in the league in QB rating against. 51.2 QB rating allowed. 34 receptions/77 targets. 487 yards allowed/3 TDs allowed/5 Ints. He had a better season than both Richard Sherman and Patrick Peterson. Also, as an aside, the Cromartie and Revis duo from 2010-2012 is criminally underrated. They were both consistently top 10 in passer rating allowed.

bitonti
it seems like there are a ton of threads about the defense. Will they sign Mo? Will they get faster LBs? What about Revis' decline? Meanwhile, the defense was fine. 22 points on the road is a decent effort in the 2015 NFL. It was the offense and specials that let them down, as usual. faba
We know Revis is not as good as 5 years ago- what player can maintain that level and a do it with a serious injury. He is just fine as a top tier tier CB for the defense And defense could not stop Buffalo on third downs all game and 4th q killed us

thshadow
Going into last week's game, Darrelle Revis was second in the league in QB rating against. And given that he didn't play last week, those numbers should stay the same.
JoJoTownsell1
Revis was fine this year. He just decided that he wasn't interested in another playoff run and opted to let Watkins walk all over him on sunday on every critical 3rd down in the game. Congrats Revis and enjoy your early vacation.

Very true but man, especially with Jim Kelly catching that punt at our own 30 yard line. But it seemed like they had the "I Win" button with Watkins, he was there every time they needed him, Revis was not...
CrazyCarl40
Those rankings also had Antonio Cromartie and Buster Skrine at the bottom of their lists. Cro we know isn't the Cro of old, but you would expect more out of a guy making 25 million over 4 years to play in Nickle and Dime packages like Skrine. Fact is, he's never been all that good. Agreed offense was the bigger issue but man, the Jets defense had several chances to make big stops and instead gave up LONG scoring drives that killed us. What was the 3rd down D Sunday? It felt like they converted at will.

Jet Nut
Revis and Jets Defense played vs How many good QBS this yr, Brady and who else? Seriously the dumbing down on this board...... come on mon LOL, why do "fans" go out of their way to knock down the numbers of players on "their" team to prove that "their" players arent really as good as we, the "dumb" think. Speaking of dumbing down, the word mon
detectivekimble
Revis and Jets Defense played vs How many good QBS this yr, Brady and who else? Seriously the dumbing down on this board...... come on mon I don't care who you play. This is a league where the 23rd ranked QB threw 35 TDs. This is a passing league. Allowing 34 receptions on 77 targets is excellent. The guy is a top CB. The problem is that you're comparing him to he 2009-2013 version. That guy was out of this world. On another note, Sammy Watkins is big time. Imagine what his numbers would look like if Taylor actually targeted him.
