Can't watch wildcard game

it's to painful. We should be playing tonight, just needed to kick that field goal instead of throw into the wind. Just stop that return by the Eagles, score on that botched bills punt on Thursday night, play defense against tj Yates, actually show up the raiders game. No this is to painful to watch. To hard to take.

Strength of victory tie breaker is why it's the Steelers and not us are in the playoffs. What is interesting is we couldn't beat the Bills and they couldn't be the Ravens this season.

worst tie breaker ever when there is no head to head game

I felt the same way last week. But I just watched the 30 for 30 Four Falls of Buffalo. It's made me feel well enough to watch and enjoy the playoffs. Think of it as scouting for next year. We will be playing these teams.

and the #billsmafia are pathetic too. So that helps.

And there's more than that.  The wins over the Boys, Giants, Jags, were nail biters.  The loss to the Pats was a give away.  While this team was within a win of the playoffs, it wasn't as good as advertised.  We made a lot of progress but there's a lot of holes this team fell into.  Overall, we had a very entertaining season and we are on the right path despite some of the suspect signings, coaching decisions etc that left us short.  Its a learning process and I do feel we have the right people in charge even if they have made their fair share of mistakes.

Word!  The NFL should just let teams in this scenario play a wild/wild card game between each other.  This stupid tie breaker system is a joke.  Play each other on Wednesday, winner plays Sunday in the wild card game. Think the Jets would go for that? You damn right they would. I know its the NFL and the games require players to rest and regain their strength etc but to be kicked out of the playoffs over some contrived tiebreaker is heartbreaking.  MLB does it, time for the NFL to have some innovation and create some excitement for the fan base who undeservedly get the short end of the stick.

Unfortunately playing a Wednesday game just isn't a realistic option, as for the "Strength of Victory" tie breaker...

You got a better bad idea that's better? How bout the two coaches play it out on PS4 Madden?  Ask Fitzy, Marshall, fans etc etc etc if they would be up to it?  Don't watch it then.  You could stay home and watch reruns of Barney & Friends.   I bet you're in this picture somewhere.

You musta taken your dumb pull this morning.

How'd you feel about this...The 2008 New England Patriots season was the 37th season for the team in the National Football League and 49th season overall. Despite finishing the regular season with an 11–5 record, the Patriots did not qualify for the playoffs—becoming the first 11-win team since the expansion to a 12-team playoff in 1990 to not make the playoffs, as well as only the second team (after the 1985 Denver Broncos) since the NFL expanded to a 16-game regular season in 1978. This came just one year after finishing with the only 16–0 regular-season record in NFL history.  I'm sure that sat with you well.  And you look very happy in this pic too.

Grammar police.  Should be "too"

Too is an adverb meaning "excessively" or "also."

Huge wild-card audience surely means more wild-card games...Posted by Mike Florio on January 5, 2015, 5:50 PM EST

In March, the NFL’s owners likely will vote to expand the playoff field from 12 to 14 teams.  That would mean two more games in the wild-card round, an increase from four to six.

Which would mean 50 percent more games that America watches by the tens of millions.  Specifically the four wild-card games generated an average audience of 29.9 million, even though one of the games was on cable.  The FOX game between the Lions and Cowboys had an average audience of 42.3 million, with a peak of 48.3 million viewers between 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. ET.

The league was poised to decided in March 2014 that the playoff field will be expanded in 2015.  The NFL apparently decided that it made much more sense to wait until 2015 to expand the playoff field in 2015.  Otherwise, Texans and Eagles fans would currently be having a hard time understanding why they didn’t get a shot at the Broncos and Packers, respectively, this weekend.

Next year, look for the NFL to have six games instead of four in the wild-card round.  If they pick the right windows for the games, that average audience could go well over 30 million.

Rules are the rules.  What do you want them to do change the rules every year?  Too bad, happens in sports all the time.  You grow up, accept that these are the rules.  Being 10-6 is no different than being 9-7 and missing out on a tie breaker.  Who cares, they didnt finish inside the top teams to make the playoffs.

Rules change. And actually they finished with the same record as the Steelers 10-6.  And BTW, they do change the rules EVERY YEAR.
