I would have went WR probably

There is no trades, but I don't see a scenario where the Jets don't trade out of 20.

Also I'd be willing to wager a lot that the Bills are not taking P Lynch, and neither would the Jets, but Rex would grab his favorite defensive player, and the Jets would trade back with a team that might want P Lynch.  I can also see P Lynch falling like G Smith.

I would have loved to find a trade down partner.  Or even up with Mo available and all. Oh well.

Anyone willing to help me keep the spreadsheet updated.  At the pace we are going, I could take the dogs for a walk and fall 6 or 7 picks behind.  Shouldn't be too much trouble keeping up today, when I am just sitting around watching hockey.  But at work tomorrow, it will be a lot tougher.

Anyone who is familiar with spreadsheets willing to help out?

I'm good for most of tomorrow.  Until about 4pm. Then I'm done for the rest of the evening. I helped with the spreadsheet last year.

Picking Lynch for the Bills makes zero sense. Unless of course, it was a subliminal reaction by Mick not wanting to see Lynch in a NY Jet uniform.

saved my arse from the Lynching that would have ensued when I would have then passed on Lynch for the Jets.

If FLoyd AND Lynch are there at 20, who would you take?

Not a Lynch fan here.  Surprised he fell that far.  I like to think that Floyd would still be the pick, but Woody Johnson is the boss.

Thanks.  Sent you an invite to edit the sheet a few minutes ago.  Let me know if you got it.

Thanks

Went Billings instead...He's one of the players in this draft I actually really like but doesn't need to come up in Jets talks. Thought about Treadwell, KISS, but then went hipster.

The Raiders need to find an insurance policy for Last year stud Defense Lineman Mario Edwards( big reason for Khalil Mack big season)  . There questions about longterm health of Edwards. ( Stenious ?)

They need a defense lineman that can play De on the run downs, and move inside( Dt)  on the passing downs.

Two guys fit that bill the best Robert Nkemdiche- perfect fit what they are looking for as he's the closest thing to Edwards. ( just has some serious red flags ).   Chris Jones - Muhammad Wilkerson lite 6'6 310  wouldn't have a problem if he was the pick at 14.  ( both fit what the defense is looking for)

Leonard Floyd is another player I wouldn't have a problem with at 14.   Fits the 5-2-4 defense they like to play. The Raiders don't need another pass rusher as they have ( Mack, B Irvin, and eventually Aldon Smith)  What they need is another Lb to fill the role of coverage lb to go with Malcolm Smith. ( Irvin is going to be rushing the passer a lot more with the Raiders than in Seattle- Floyd would do a lot of what Irvin use to do for Seattle.   ( Having Floyd and Irvin - Ken Norton Nr can play a lot of games. Both are capable of rushing or dropping in coverage.

Nobody PM'ed me or called to me in the thread.

I just picked.   Villain is up.

Arizona needs an edge rusher because Dwight Freeney is a fossil.  I had it down to 3 names, went Emmanuel Ogbah because I like his ability to play standing up and with his hand in the dirt is a great fit since Arizona plays multiple fronts.

Ogbah a nice pick.  Sorry about lack of notice.  I hadn't seen that you weren't PM'd.  No worries.

Very early for WVU's Karl Joseph, Villain, no?  I know he was injured last season.  FYI: He went late 3rd, pick 86, in the Hampur Mock.

Na. Josepth was the best safety in college football. His injury doesnt change that fact if he's recovered. Him being mocked in the 3rd round is nonsense.

Hey, I like the player too.  Looks like he is ranked anywhere between 39 and 91 by the usual pundits.  No matter how you slice it, 1st round for him is a reach.  Obviously, since there are no trades, you surely would have worked a big trade down to get him.

Well, good thing we have different boards. :-)

He's a top 10 talent in my eyes.

You're the GM!  As I said, I think Joseph will be a fine player.  ANd since we aren't doing trades, it's tough to gamble on any player lasting a whole other round.  I get that.  Based on what was there at #20, I would have feverishly searched for a trade down partner, but alas....
