We have waived WR Joe Anderson. — New York Jets (@nyjets) May 5, 2016 Anderson, a feel good story late last season, was picked up by the Jets after gaining notoriety for standing outside NRG Stadium, home of the Houston Texans, holding up a sign saying among other things, “will run routes 4 food”. The humility Anderson displayed was a moving gesture that put fans in his corner in an instant. However, it wasn’t meant to be as he was let go today, just one day before the team’s rookie mini-camp.
