Hahaha I'm gonna still go with no it is not rigged. Ray Lewis's retirement year superbowl win involved S Rahim Morris completely blowing coverage on a hail mary when the play call was rather obvious (Also, the power going out in the superbowl actually helped the 49ers comeback. If anything the conspiracy was to embarrass San Francisco into building the 49ers a new stadium). The David Tyree catch was ridiculous, how could the NFL have scripted that, or ensure that the play would work? Do you think Roby and the steelers rb were in on it when they forced the fumble that let the bronco's come back in the divisional round of the playoffs? Do you think Rex Ryan was paid by the Pats to call timeout in the regular season game to ensure they went undefeated?

I think that in sports, when games are contested so tightly, the smallest things determine whether a team goes out in the first round, or go all the way to the championship. Yet fans only remember the administrative actions that affect the game, and not the players or coach's actions.

The Pats have been killing it for a long time, but they had fan support so poor that in the late 90's/early 2000's they actually considered moving to effing Hartford Connecticut. Not exactly a storied franchise until Brady and Belichick arrived.

I will admit that sometimes a league may make a decision that is in the best interest of the league (either for $$ or public relations) over what may actually be the right decision. Such as Goodell choosing to burn the spygate tapes instead of release them. But what good would it have done anyway? It would have been so embarrassing for a league to have 3 titles deemed invalid because of cheating that occurred years before. The NFL could not have that, so they did not release it. Jets fans still refer to the Pats as cheaters either way.

Maybe Draymond shouldn't have been suspended for game 5, but he should have been suspended in the OKC series. But the league wanted more games and more tv money and publicity. In the last 5 mins of game 7, there were 10 straight missed shots by both teams until Kyrie hit the famous winning three. The warriors had tons of opportunities to win game 7, and I still think they had the better shots, but they missed them.

The game isnt "fixed" in the way of telling players to throw the game, however, the NFL is considered "sports entertainment" for a reason.

We've all seen games where the refs basically directed the outcome of a particular game, either with calls or lack of calls. It does happen.

Like pretty much every game the Rats played for the last decade.5, of course the NFL is fixed.

Certainly Goodell destroying the evidence of the Pats cheating videotaping opposing signals is rigged.  He knew the evidence was condemning enough that there was no way he could have Vegas & anyone else that bet against NE see it

IMO, out of all the pro sports the NBA is the most rigged. The other leagues certainly have teams they'd prefer to win, but the NBA is the most blatant about it.

There was no doubt this year's finals was going 7 games. Doesn't mean the outcome was fixed, but the NBA and their TV partners wanted 7 games. When you read the things crooked former ref Tim Donaghy said about refs, there is no doubt at times the NBA favored some teams over others.

I think people are twisting the meaning of "fixed". That would mean the outcome is predetermined which of course it is not. Of course these leagues are run by humans, and probably not the most objective, or ethical of the species or they would not be where they are.

There are differing amounts of bias allowed in different sports. The NBA is pretty close to being fixed but that's just 5 guys in short pants running around in a gym. I don't think anyone really cares as long as they put on a good show. The sport was almost dead before they started manufacturing the drama.

Football and baseball are taken far more seriously. Every mistake is examined to death and the refs are scored on their performance. The perception may be that one team gets preferential treatment but that is mostly just perception. The numbers even out.

Of course people cheat, and even officials must sometimes, but that is far from the blanket statement that the games are fixed. If they were we would have far better matchups than we do every year. Even the Sunday, and Monday night games at the end of the year are ridiculously bad most of the time.
