Just because a QB gets big money doesn't mean his status automatically gets elevated. QB's get signed to questionable contracts all the time (See: Flacco, Joe). But only a few of those QB's (See: Luck, Andrew) are likely worth the kind of money they're getting. Bottom line is if you're committing to a QB, you HAVE to pay him in a big way.
