but many HAVE bashed Revis...

True but in his case, we all know what he's capable of and the first game was just an aberration. He's still easily a top 10 and he'll come around to prove he has plenty left.

We have the right to be mad and question a bad game. As bad as Revis was, we see 180+ yard receivers on almost a bi-weekly basis. How often does a QB suck and throw 6 ints? Once a year maybe? If that.

Point being, Revis earned a couple of bad games. he performed at an incredible level. Fitz earned nothing. Whatever he had built up, it was washed away in wk17.

If he waivers on the answer, there's a controversy and he's indecisive. If he says Fitz he's an idiot. And if he slathers peanut butter on his balls while yelling at Mehta that $12 million was a steal because he's worth 24, then he's Rex.

Thanks a lot, I lol'ed and woke up the wife....jerk!

Mehta: So is Fitz still your starting QB?

Bowles: For now, yes. We are going to go back and evaluate tape and see where the issue lies and how it can be fixed.

Mehta: Do you still trust Fitz to lead this team?

Bowles: He had a bad game. We'll see how he comes back from it, but for now, Fitz is the starter.

That's what you think a HC should say.

Thats not what a HC says after week 3.  What good does it do, what does it prove to anyone, anywhere?  If and when he deserves to be benched he will.  The above statement does nothing to help the team win.

It sends a message that You need to pull your head out of your own bunghole, else we have backups that can do the same. Why was Jalin benched after the KO fumble return TD? What good did that do? Why not Fitz? Who played worse, Fitz or Jalin? When you're ineffective, you need to let it be known that there exists a leash.

Yeah, because Fitz doesn't know he needs to play better.

Taking a QB out of a game is a lot different than sitting a return guy for a play or two.  Not even close to the same thing.

Jalin did get hurt in that game, I guess that was why he didn't get back on the field.

Quite timely, perhaps, he gets to sit a couple of weeks, let things settle, come back with a clean slate and put the past behind you. Like a CB, he needs to have a short memory ... the more he thinks about not fumbling, the more likely he may be to fumble again.

Same happened with Sanchez - he tried so hard not to throw picks that he waited too long and ended up throwing more picks.

Point being, what you just said, should've been made clear. Not "No question" and  "the trust is the same". The fact that Bowles didn't even consider benching Fitz in the last game is very bothersome. Geno or even Hack should have been sent out there at least after the 5th pick when the game was out of reach at 24-3 with about 3 minutes left.

He "says" he didn't consider it.
