It will make no difference at all, Flacco is not all that great to begin with, whoever his back up is will shred the hell out of our defense.  lol just looked Ryan Mallet.....that would be the epitome of a kick in the balls if that guy brutalizes our all world defense.

Oh he's better than anything we have but he's not a guy that can carry a team and he makes 22 million a year.  The years the ravens had a drop in talent their record dropped.

FWIW look at Flacco's career stats and compare him to other 8-9 year NFL starters.

How many are any better? Not too many amirite?

So people want to blame him for the Ravens not winning any more Superbowls since 2013 cause he makes too much money.

Thats absurd!  Yes Joe, turn down the cash you greedy bastid and go out and risk your brain every Sunday for Fitpatrick money.

Rogers makes 22m also and at least they arent getting paid under the table like the Pats pay Brady.

BTW he did have a severe ACL injury last year and the Ravens probably want to keep him on the bench against the Jets.

I'm guessing they feel they can rest Flacco and beat our team with any QB on the roster and probably will.

HOORAY, so Fitz is finally benched, about one year TOO LATE.  I was bashed so much this off-season for my opinion that Fitz is a joke of a QB and at best a very poor man's Chad Pennington.  Last year I saw him get very lucky against pretty bad secondaries and often bailed out by Marshall and Decker.  There were at least 10-15 sure interceptions he threw that were dropped by the opposition last year.  It made me sick to watch him play in spite of the winning record.

Fast forward to this season and the complete waste of $12M.   He had success against the Bills as Chan actually came up with a solid gameplan against the Bills hard press coverage - knowing that none of Decker, Marshall or Enuwa could beat any Bills defender one on one - he resorted to back shoulder throws and capitalized on Fitz's proficiency at underthrowing his targets....it worked great - but  something like that will only work great once.

Will Geno play much better - I believe last year he could have, this year our OL is worse and getting wore by the minute, no punishing RB and no Decker.

What we dont need is to win games as that would kill our chance at drafting Myles Garrett.....yes there is nobody coming out in 2017 that IMO is a franchise QB - ahhhh same old Jets, poor timing to tank.

Maybe the Jets are gonna get a break here with a beat up Ravens team.  We'll see....

Beating Baltimore is not a good break.  It is an unfortunate one. Best thing that can happen to the Jets is to discover that Petty can actually play and they continue to lose.  A top 3 draft pick and selecting a QB to compete with Petty next summer.

Winning is not good!

IF and it's a big IF, Petty is the QB of the future, winning is not such a bad thing. If he's not....

Anyway, I can't root for the team to lose, especially this early in the season. It's as repulsive as the thought of gay porn.

I did not say root for the team to lose.  I said "best thing."  If Petty shows he can play a little, it should not discourage the Jets from taking a QB in the top 3.  If Petty takes a hold of the starting job, the newbie sits like a Brees and Rivers situation.  Or they compete and the newbie takes over when the time is right.

Win-Win.

Only bad scenario is to finish 5-11 and miss out on a potential franchise QB... again...
