Bill played DE and one day he was sucking in practice so the coach says to him, "Hey Parcells, we would be better off with a pile of dog sh*t out there because at least somebody might slip in it!" Perhaps he sniffed out Woody Johnson as an effete fraud. But he did leave this franchise with a winning culture. And since the day he left that culture has been eroded and dissipated to the point it's now gone. To his credit Mangini tried to get back to that, but he had issues with treating grown men like children, something Parcells did not do. Instead Woody Johnson with each hire since(and make no mistake, he not any GM has hired the HCs) has valued empty tough guy defense first idiocy.
