Tanking in New York is almost impossible to do because of the scrutiny that would be laid on the team and the franchise, and the money lost.

I will say this. If they draft a QB with a top pick and he works, I don't think many people will care that they failed with Hackenberg.

Knicks tanked two years ago and got Porzingis

 

Mets tanked for years up until 2 years ago

 

 The problem is tanking is so inexact.  We had Jameis Winston in our clutches two years ago and friggin Rex wins a totally meaningless late season game against the steelers who we never beat
