I like either the RB in Fournette or the LB in Foster. Building the LB corp up will help the entire defense and take pressure off some of the young corners we already have. You can't succeed with young corners and no pass rush.

**** this edge rusher bullsh*t get some real LB's in here that can play the position (run and pass) and stop trying to find the one trick pony pass rusher which can be just as difficult as finding a damn QB. Let the LB's who can actually play the position evolve into pass rushers we certainly have the goons up front to occupy lineman to free up LB's to pass rush.

If you look at most of the successful 3-4 defenses over the past 40 years they all had top end LB's and occupiers up front then when the LB's start creating havoc the DL gets to the QB as well Just look at guys like Leonard Marshall, his entire career or most of it was because of LT a better version of Leonard Marshall wa Richard Dent who had amazing LB's while playing with the bears in 85.

LB's are the Key to any good 3-4 defense and if you look at the guys we have had in here after David Harris they have been terrible its time to get some LB talent on this defense.

Those "top end LB's" you are talking about were pass rushers.  If you are expecting the line to keep the offensive line occupied so your LB's can get a free run to the QB, you might as well just play an extra DB.  They will get there faster and that is pretty much what Bowles tries to do.

LT benefit from Carson

Dent benefit from Singletary

I agree the importance of ILB but I would rather have Fournette if he there which I doubt he will be

The top of this draft is a career killer.  Good luck to Macc here.

  • The Jets obviously need a QB, but all 3 top prospects have issues (but can also end up good NFL QBs, which the Jets lack).
  • The best players are at non-premium positions.
  • Several of the best players are hurt.
  • 2 of the best players are RBs
  • The Jets need  an LT desperately, but there is not one at 6.

The best thing Macc could do is trade down, if he can.

If he takes a player with an injury history who keeps getting injured, like a Milliner, Macc will be toast.

I think they get a LT and a QB (who I don't know) in FA.

At this point the Jets need talent period.  Earl Thomas and Eric Berry were drafted top ten, so safety I think is in play.

Hooker and Pryor (doing what he actually does well) would be a nice combo.
