Freeman McKlecko
Both were franchised today. But screw those guys. Quentin Coples was the way better pick in 2012. Rex worked him out privately and loved how he could drop into coverage. Who needs to pressure the QB anyway. Best Rex pick by far including John Connor, Scottie McKnight & Taj Boyd. JoJoTownsell1
Rex made a bunch of mistakes but most of us will probably be dead before another jet head coach takes us to back to back AFC championship games.

He was able to take a team that someone else put together, plus Tanny's and his FAs, and almost made the SB twice. When the bill came due on the players he and Tanny and signed, and Rex showed his mettle in the draft room, everything unraveled.
Barkus
Yeah it sucks. Jets were linked to them too. Knocks on them were jones did not have a lot of production in college and Ingram had short arms. Jets had 2 out of 3 chance to get a good player and still messed up? The combination of him, Tanny and Rex could not draft to save their lives.

Dcat
Coples was Rex Ryan's pick, and Rex Ryan's alone. Bust

Fantasy Island
I hope we go on a 9 year streak of picking offense in the first round starting this year. Defense doesn't win championships in the NFL anymore. Also, the draft needs to go back to be being on the weekend only in April.

I'm grateful for having that fat, waste of earth space as our HC. You be grateful for...Bowles and Fitz?

Gut the team, clear the cap, hoard picks and build a young foundation. He was willing to be patient and begin a rebuild from the ground up. Mac is doing the same thing but, he had a ton of resources left over from the Idzik Era and pissed it all away. Idzik was doomed by Geno, Rex and a very impatient fan base. His 12 pick draft was underwhelming ND that sealed his fate essentially. I think he caught the ax at least a year too early.

His idea was right and he was executing it, Except he was terrible at drafting so that kinda hurts his whole philosophy.

Idzik overseeing Bradway drafted just terribly. Those 12 picks were a disaster. Pryor over Clinton-Dix? Drafting an injury prone cover 2 CB that high? Did SR pass the intelligence test? Shaq Evans and that midget WR? Just awful. That is why he got fired.
