might be hard to trade down with the 7th pick.  any team that wants to trade up will probably go up higher in the round.  think we are in a bad spot.  but if he can please do it

Macc traded down from the 3rd round in '15...If you want to and another team wants to move up  (no matter the round) it can be done...

There's still value at CB here at the top of the 2nd but by mid 2nd round, the CBs will have been picked over pretty well

If we don't get a CB at 39, we are looking at a developmental prospect or taking a leap of faith on one later

I'm fine with not taking a CB at 39, but let's not kid ourselves about getting one later

So, let's say we trade back in R2 - and pick up an extra 3rd.

R2 Sidney Jones CB (or a similarly ranked CB)

R3 Nathan Peterman QB

R3 Jordan Leggett TE

R3 Pat Elflein C

R5 the best RB available

Nah... probably makes too much sense to improve this much in one draft.

sounds good but it might not be feasible to acquire a 3rd when the last few trades netted a 4th to get back into the 1st round

I like Cook but one fumble every 63 carries is not comforting along with his off the field issues, and injury history.  Dare I say a CB, Wilson or maybe King. I would be fine with Lamp or Elflein. Cam Robinson is a risk with his off the field issues similar to Richardson.

I'd be good with Elfein too. I like Robinson more from a talent perspective but you're right, he has some issues and questions.

Anything OL/G/OT/C would make me happy. Have to build that line. It won't matter who's running out of the backfield or which kid is trying to throw the football if our line is swiss cheese.

Cam Robinson/ Forest Lamp have value here given that the Jets will avoid the character question marks of Dalvin Cook.

Kevin King is the pick at corner and it fills a clear need there.

Robinson more than Lamp, but agreed offensive line would greatly improved by one of these guys.

King may be gone, but Wilson would be a good pick.

One player that has been gaining buzz but I did not see here was Joshua Dobbs.  Maybe will be there in the 3rd but I think he is in the conversation with Kizer and Webb as one of the next QBs to come off the board.  Not saying the Jets should be looking at the QBs but if they were prefer Dobbs over Webb.

I don't want Dobbs/Kizer or Webb to be honest... I think this year has to play out at qb with what we have on the roster.

Not a fan of Hackenberg but I expect the Jets front office still believe, given that they did not make a play for Watson or Mahones at 6.

They have get through the coming year and see if they have a full blown sh*t show or the can reclaim whatever this kid showed as a college rookie.

You're right about King, he will likely be gone by 7.

Agreed that they should give Hackenberg a shot.

The other guy that the Jets were highly interested in early in the draft season was Jordan Willis.

Concerned with Dalvin Cook's issues and the fact Alvin is still on the board makes me stray further away from the idea of drafting Cook..but passing on Cook and waiting for Round 3 to see if Alvin Kamara is still there gets risky. I like Godwin but would prefer him in the 3rd if posssible. Ryan Anderson from Alabama jumps out at you...but don't think he should go #7 in the 2nd. I would wind up taking Jordan Willis or Kevin King when it's all said and done..I would love an offensive player but I realize grabbing another 1st round talent building block is more valuable than settling for an offensive player who might not provide the same impact despite being defense. It is what it is when you have that many position holes..

Kamara was a rotation guy at Tennessee. Where is this hype coming from? Cook, Mixon(could be persona non grata), Mack and Hill I'd all prefer over Kamara.

That's why he isn't a 2nd round guy in my eyes but love his skill set and would gladly take him with one of our 3rd rounders. He is a typical scat back but I think he has nice playmaking ability.

There's only a few players (out of the ones you posted) that are on my radar:

Cook, Robinson, Bowser, Q.Wilson. That's about it. I think other guys are a reach. I'm really hoping for Robinson or Cook. I know they like Bowser a lot and he is very versatile. Wilson has potential to be a #1 CB playing on the outside. I like his skill set. Nice fit for Bowles.

Because he can do it all and is a ridiculous athlete. 23 TD's on 280 touches.  Insane production.  Can run routes and catch like a WR.  HUGE recruit out of High School and was ready to be the next big thing at Bama.  He's battled some injuries and when he arrived to Tenn. Jalen Hurd was the man.

Why is it an issue he's a rotation guy?

Francesa saying he's heard reports Dalvin Cook struck a woman outside a Miami nightclub recently and showed up to team interviews with booze on his breath. Off a bunch of boards apparently.

Yikes!  What a moron.  Especially knowing teams were shying away from him because of character.  Wow.  This is crazy.  He's so freaking good.

With Jamal Adams' leadership now on board, we should have no problem taking Cook or Mixon.

Lol gotta love the Fracesa BS rumours .. u don't think if he hit a women it wouldn't be all over every major media outlet the night it happened? Hell TMZ would probably have the footage . And you think his agent let him show to interviews with booze of his breath I don't believe none of this . Cook is far from a saint which is why he is falling but I'm calling bullsh*t on those 2 rumours .

I believe Cam Robinson will be a Pro Bowler somewhere on the O-line. I think he can play LT, RT or OG. He is a great talent and should be the pick if he is on the board and Cook is gone.

Agreed

Either Cam or Kizer.

Everyone is acting like we're going to draft someone who's actually projected to go in the high second... Lolz.

My guess is we end up with someone who at least half the fanbase (myself certainly included) will have to google.
