Hack sucked at Penn State once he lost Allen Robinson -- what are people seeing here?

Yeah, thats what it was.  It wasnt going from the change at HC, going from the Pats pro offense, which he mastered as an 18 year old and changing to a spread offense which he wasnt suited to play.

So you're relying on hack being the exception? 1 guy in a generation that had poor college accuracy who ended up being a good NFL QB compared to countless number of college QBs with poor accuracy who didn't make it. Then excepting the other starting QBs who are solid starting QBs who have good numbers.

The lunacy that because one guy did it that Hack *is* going to do it is absurd.

In addition, it's more like 99.9% of college QBs with two bad seasons don't end up as solid NFL starting QBs.

Think hes addressing the lunacy that says if you put up Favre or Hack numbers in college there is no chance of changing things when you get to the NFL and are coached to your strengths.

Thats the lunacy that comes from the mouths of SOJFs

Do you believe Fitz was the best QB on the team last year - If you don't your argument holds no water .

We've seen over the years with our stellar HC's that depth charts and skill levels are like apples and oranges. The fact that McCown may be ahead of the other QB's in a pre season depth chart tells us absolutely nothing about their respective skill or talent levels.

Yeah, even though the HC has said he'll announce the starter in the preseason.  And no one on the Jets has said that Josh is the starter.  Especially since every report was that Hack looked better.  But hey, keep making shlt up to prove whatever point we're trying to push.

You realize there is this new thing called a depth chart which is updated 365 days per year?

How does it not?

And that at this point it's often positioned out of respect to a vet over a player who has never taken a snap?

Or that a depth chart in June is meaningless?

That you don't understand this isn't surprising.

BTW, here's the Jets depth chart, good work dude:

Yeah I know more personal insults.  Hackenberg has given Jets fans NOTHING to think he's going to suddenly be good.

Its a personal insult to talk about how wrong you tend to be?  After you talk about the Jets depth chart that doesn't exist to make your point?  OK

Hackenberg has given no indication that he can't be a success either.  Don't be insulted but once again your point is meaningless.  You state things as fact based on nothing.

I copied and pasted the Jets depth chart, the one i never heard of.  Wheres yours showing how right you are.

Simple. If you believe Fitz wasn't the best QB last season - it proves Bowles evaluation and adherence to a depth chart was nullified. So the fact that McCown is supposedely atop the depth chart now means nothing .

Who was better? Were you in a coma the past few years when Geno played?

I've said it before and I'll say it again: the day McCown gets named the week 1 starter is going to be the funniest day in the history of this website.

Why? It's what's going to happen, why will it be so funny?

Last year a one armed monkey would have been better than Fitz , try upgrading your TV to hi-def ;)

You may be right on this..... BUT, a no armed and no legged monkey would have been better than Geno, so my point stands.

the fact (not a fact) that Hackenberg is still behind Josh McCown says it all (prior to camp even starting, although NO-ONE has said this). If this was actually true and he can't beat out McCown he doesn't deserve to play

not one person is saying there is a zero percent chance. People are saying that is it extremely unlikely. Like it happens once in a generation odds and the people believing that hack is the once in a generation player probably aren't dealing in reality.

Why is it funny when Moe slaps Curly? Why is it funny when the boulder falls on the coyote? Why is it funny when Larry David gets himself into some mortifying situation? NoBowles, these are the mysteries of our time

The fact that we were awful last year, and the team didn't give him a chance to get on the field lets us all know how bad Hack is.  Just getting him in there to get a feel of the game would have hurt nothing.

You really think throwing him on the field to try to learn while we played horribly, the vets quit on the team, wr were playing alligator arms and the line was Swiss cheese would have cause NO HARM to any possible future the kid has? How many times have we seen a QB ruined because he was put in too soon with teams much better than we fielded last year?

I know you cant be serious when you say it would have hurt nothing. The small chance he has this year all would have been ruined by ANOTHER example of the Jets throwing in a qb too soon....the sanchize and geno were both put in before they were ready....sorry, sitting the kid was the best thing that could have ever happened to him.

so you are saying that there is a zero percent chance that he is that once in a generation player? If you cant say there is a zero percent chance then you cant say something that hasnt happened yet is "reality"

When you are at the bottom there is only one direction you can go.
