PFF on Mo Wilk vs Jax...yikes

Wilkerson’s best seasons and plays came with Snacks lined up next to him. This isn’t rocket science. Most of Mo’s sacks came on 1st and 2nd down early in games, lined up next to Snacks. Again, it’s prety easy to figure out why he’s struggling. Is he hurt? Probably but the fact is that he’s always been overrated by posters here and his sharp decline in production is tied to the players on the line with him.

$1.1 million for an average one

$100 k is the annual maintenance.  I'm not kidding. Its about $80k for new tires. You have to fly Mclaren techs out from england, rent a track, rent an ambulance and a driver to balance the new tires

there is a longer version of this is you are curious

Still much cheaper than a Mo Wilk.

I've said that for years.... he's snail like slow.   Has been for a long time.

Mo was tailor made for Rex Ryan's defense. He is very instinctual and disciplined. Read and react type interior lineman.

What he is not is explosive which is what Bowles' defense needs. Not smart to sign him for this defense.

For those who say he had a good first year with Bowles, well he took a year to fully make the switch in defensive philosophy.

Right now he's actually getting pushed off his spot pretty handily which never used to happen so he's probably not good in either defense.

If you're in the $1MM+ car zone, I'd go with the Bugatti, personally.  ironically, the $80k Tesla can beat them both off the line and hold the lead for a surprisingly long time.

Not to mention, it can drive itself.

Drunk?  Let it drive.

Mother-in-law needs to be picked up from the airport?  Send the car by itself.  (Then, once she's in the car, tell it to go some place far away and blame it on a software glitch.)

Need to charge up or get repairs?  Have it go to the charging station or repair shop while you're at work.

Is it possible to trade him away for a draft pick, and agree to keep most of his salary? So a team with struggling defence might give us a decent pick for him, as long as we agree that they don't have to take on the contract for this year? Then if they want him they can pick up the option for him for next year etc....

So effectively we'd pay them, and give them Mo, in order to get a draft pick off them?

Apologies if it's a stupid idea, don't know if it's possible.

Is this a reverse Osweiller trade? What was the deal with him?

Well the fast track thing is your add, but remember when Wilkerson being Muslim was worth a mention before getting swept under the rug? Probably you luck out gramps and some Mooslem boy doesn't intrude upon the memories of yesteryear when the Jets still sucked, but yeah he was getting there through age 26.

I'd give it that it's possible Wilkerson's body is toast after stringing together a half decade of outstanding seasons taking 80% of the D snaps on overworked Ds. He missed significant time to injury and probably rushed back to play for a terrible team, two things that can easily exacerbate any physical issues playing this sport. That would actually make sense, as opposed to this nonsense lazy narrative popping up on a guy who played at an elite level more snaps than any 300+ pound DL except Watt for most of the decade.

He had the rep of being lazy / blah coming into the league

The Texans gave up a 2018 2nd round and a 2017 6th round draft pick to the Brown's so they would take Osweiiller off their hands. Also, Texans got a 2017 4th round pick in return. The Texans actually saved 10 million in cap space by doing this.

Here's a link if you're interested in reading about it some more.

That Mehta slam piece was debunked the day he posted it.  He wasn't there, posted it based on some hearsay nonsense and there were pictures of him in decent enough shape recent enough to show it was crap.

You guys really are all into this proof that Wilkerson is dogging it?  You do realize this is PFF?  You're buying? All in?  I hear Brandon Shell is showing as a solid starting tackle.  His season numbers are as bad as Wilk's low number for this game.  I heard Shell came on after a rough start against the Dolphins - he finished 28.9.  Very promising.

Obviously there are issues with the numeric grades as such. But all they're doing in the first place is counting outcomes. Good doesn't come out 36.8 because of measurement error or suspect reasoning unless you think somebody is just plain lying.

Shell seems horrible.
