While he has played quite well in spurts, he is a 38 year old journeyman that we signed for $6m, which is a backup salary for QBs. I don’t believe he has much trade value. The Cardinals are another team that might have some interest after losing Palmer for the season. I think that team sucks but they did just trade for Peterson so they must consider themselves playoff contenders. Maybe they would be willing to deal a 4th for McCown. We should take advantage of the fact that McCown has not been inept and move him to a team that could use an upgrade at QB. A few of the guys seen entering Florham Park include Warren Moon, Dave Krieg, Steve Deberg and Bart Starr, who is favored to win the job as his extensive experience gives the Jets the best chance to win.
