The Bungles really are the Jets in bengal tiger stripes. Terrible if this kid can't come back, he really was the real deal and was just great to watch.
this is worse then anything thats ever happened to the jets if it really is carrer ending. the jets have never had a player as good as carson palmer no1 and no2 they have never had a player like that have a carrer ending injury. joe willie in 71 is close but that was only for a year...

You have to be kidding...we had Dennis Byrd...did you forget about him? He was a rising star when he got injured...

While Kitna isn't the answer, he would be a decent person to bring in to compete for a job. The answer at QB just isn't out there. With the situation in SD the way it is now with the Brees injury, the only appealing option that may be available is Volek.

So, while Kitna isn't the direction we want to be going, he is sure better than a lot of the alternatives that have been tossed around.

This is true, however I don't think the Jets need to settle for a guy that just OK. We need to shoot a little higher if possible. I never thought I'd bring myself to say this, but if we are going to aim low, we already have Bollinger and I think I would keep him over Kitna. (did I just say that? #-o )

Who do you think would be competing with Kitna? Bollywood obviously! Not like Chadwick will be ready anytime soon...

dennis byrd wasn't close to on the level of a carson palmer. the guy was a no 1 overall draft pick franchise QB.

I don't care what Carson Palmer was coming out of the draft... and remember your original point, you said the Jets didn't have anyone close to having a career ending injury...maybe you're too young to remember, but it was touch and go there for awhile whether Byrd would live or not, let alone ever walk...his career was definitely over that day.

And he was the anchor of our D line...now, whether you think Palmer was better than Byrd, that's your opinion. I happen to think that if Byrd continued his career with us, he would have been one of the best linemen we ever had.

i don't mean the jets had never had one i ment that they never had one at the level of a starting QB coming off an MVP-type season.
