NIGHT STALKER
Don't let Heimerdinger leave By Dan Leberfeld Date: Jan 21, 2006 Welcome to the real world, Mike Heimerdinger. A world where people under contract get new bosses all the time, and are forced to stay in their current jobs. I
NIGHT STALKER
I basically said the same thing in another post. Dinger signed a contract to be the OC for the New York Jets...not a personal contract with Spermy.
Bugg
One thing Jody MCDonald pointed out-if they let him go the Denver for, say $300K, the Jets would still be on the hook to make up the difference to bring it up his contract salaries. Why should they subsidize the Broncos for 2 years? Tough titties, Mike. Either quit and agree to give up your salary or get to work here. Or we'll make some deal with the broncos to move you. The thought that he took this job to work with the genius that is Herman Edwards is laughable. He took it because he(and most of us) though this was playoff-ready team and would be a good stepping stone to a HC gig. Didn't work out; deal with it. This is where it goes beyond his whining (objectionable as it is). He insists that not only should he be allowed to go elsewhere, but that the Jets should continue paying him to make sure he doesn't earn a dime less than if he stayed on. Actually, I thought he took the job because he new, or thought, Edwards was on the hot seat and he'd be the heir apparent. He got half of it right, anyway. Either way, it is indeed, laughable. Thor99
Here's an idea. We release him, with pay, with one caveat. We'll pay him until he takes another job.
