Bugg
Favre-DONE As per ESPN interview tonight. Bout time. Watching Sean Salsibury and Michal Irvin discuss it made my hair hurt. Irvin looked like he had just sampled serious amounts of what his friends tend to leave in his car and was wearing a black suit with red lines all over it and a red tie he got from the garbage can outside a prom. Pimps wouldn't dress like this for fear of being called garish. Salsibury was as animated as most people get when somebody cuts the line at DMV. Pair them up with Stuart Scott and America's collective IQ just dropped 5 points.
deadringer
well good thing the packers went out and hired a coach based on his connection to favre...least that decision wont blow up in their face...
NYJ EcKo151
Man does he really want to go out finishing 3-13 and tossing what? 25 INTs? Most people say Aaron Rodgers isn't ready at all to start for Green Bay. I think Favre can be solid for one more season getting back Javon Walker, a solid run game and some help to the OLine... NJ
I'd like to see him go one more too. Hate to see him go out on this season.
124
If this is true this is really a sad day for people like myself. I grew up watching Aikman, Young, Elway, Marino and Favre and now the last of those great 5 are gone (if these reports are true). Sad to see them all go but this one hurts more because always liked Favre...I even had his jersey back when I was younger guy. I'm almost 18 and I'm proud to say I saw the majority of Favre's great career. In my mind I've seen one of the best QB's ever to play the game. The Troll
I was hoping he would come back just to break Marino's touchdown record. Mike McCarthy will not last two full seasons as Packer head coach. Write it down now.
Maxman
I was hoping he was going to hang around for another year. If he goes out now I think he will be back in 2 years. They can't give it up that easily.
Smizzy
I don't blame the guy and it will be sad to see him go but anyhting to shut that fat farger John Madden up. I can't stand how he sucks off Favre and another good thing is no more GB hogging MNF all season.
BigJermaineFromQnz
god dammit. Favre should come back. He's a champ and needs to go out like one, like bettis. too bad his recievers suck and his front office did everything in their power (including ruining the team, essentially) to make sure he retires ASAP. Especially when he can still be one of the top QBs.

If the Packers did not want Favre back, they would not have screwed themselves and hired McCarthy.
faba
It is going to be hard ffor Favre to retire on his past season- I see his pride getting in the way-of not wanting to go out with the season he just had
Barton
Favre = Jets starting QB in 2006 16 years later, after watching the Falcons nab Favre a pick before us, we make it right this time around. Favre leads the Jets to the superbowl and wins MVP. You heard it here first.
