TomShane
Don't you just want Favre to retire? If that's not the biggest nightmare for a fan of a franchise, having an aging, increasingly ineffective vet QB who keeps his team on the hook? If he retires, they're screwed with no QB. If he stays, his ego can't handle drafting a young QB to replace him. Quite frankly, Favre is NOT good enough anymore to pull this prima donna act. sh*t or get off the pot, Brett. Favre's been choking like a porn star for awhile now in the playoffs.... ... but this last season he threw for 4000 yards and dragged a team with a cr**tacular defense into the playoffs.... he isn't done quite yet.... ... but yeah it sucks for the Packers and their fans, end of an era for them, and the writings on the wall. R44
Favre is too good to let go; but not good enough to win a title. I think they should draft Charlie Frye and move foward with him and Craig Nall... Nall is a kid out of NFLe, who I thought was fantastic... I think he could be another NFLe gem, but it won't happen if he never gets to play Favre will always suck for tainting the sack record--laying down for Strahan... Congrats on the board crashing--defining moment?
Smizzy
If the Pack was smart the make a push for one of those SD QB's. Favre is done
124
Favre is a good QB but he is definitely past his prime. The smart thing Green Bay could do is stop bringing in the Akili Smith's and Tim Couch's and go out there and get a guy like Billy Volek from Tennessee or draft a QB in the 1st round for Favre to groom for a year. Fantastic point---They've also shuffled out some decent QB's since he's been there--Hasslebeck, Brunell, ect... Nall seems OK, but when someone never plays, how can you tell? I thought the Pack should go after Volek, but he probably knew McNair was fried with injuries, so he stayed in Tenn... Still teams like GBay could've handed him more money to leave
TomShane
What happened to Craig Nall? I remember reading about him NFLe, and he looked kick-ass in some pre-season games, and everybody was lauding him as the successor to Favre, then they turn around and are rumored to be drafting skinbags like Rex Grossman? Did Nall's arm fall off when no one was looking?

faba
Favre is still the best thing Packers have going for them-defense is a mess right now and he still gives them the best chance to win. I think that Frye is a definite possibility to get drafted by Packers in Round 2 where they have two selections
